The trail continues up to West Maroon Pass past Crater Lake. The trail is not too steep. It is about 6 miles from Maroon Lake to the pass. Great views on the way.

We don't know that walk. I can assure you that any hike I can do, at 78, a healthy kid of 11 to 13 would handle with ease.
