Very family friendly

The Aurora reservoir has a nice little beach and roped off swim area for kids. I had a number of shelters and a playground. There are also paddle boards etc to rent for extra.

The Aurora reservoir has a nice little beach and roped off swim area for kids. I had a number of shelters and a playground. There are also paddle boards etc to rent for extra.

Great space to go play volleyball and enjoy the sun with friends. Big park and great for picnics and such!

We went here for a work-family appreciation day. Large parking lots with a clean beach. Areas to cook food over a fire pit and clean bathrooms. If you bring a bike try to ride the trails that go all the way around the reservoir. If you have a paddle board you can join the many people out paddling around. Can't... More

We have enjoyed many walks around this reservoir! It is convenient but far enough out of the city to be pleasant due to not much vehicle noise.

Nice place for a walk, with or without a dog! Great opportunity to clear your mind while enjoying some fresh air, blue sky, and and a perfect sunny winter day in Colourful Colorado!

This is a great place to spend an afternoon...Take a nice walk or bike around the reservoir. Take the kids for a fun "beach day" Rent a stand up paddle board or kayak and splash around..End the day with a picnic while the kids play at the playground. Yes you have to pay for a day pass, but so worth... More

my husband walked 9 miles, round trip, it was absolutely worth the time, great excercise, quiet, nice views, will definitely walk it again and again!!

My husband and I actually bought a season pass this year, for most of the summer we went every weekend or every other weekend we tried canoeing for the first time we rented bikes another time we rented a fishing boat couple times very cheap way to get out get sun and get exercise!

I visit this often to either bike, canoe, kayak, paddle board and wind surf. They have rentals but be prepared to wait in line a long time. They also aren't very good at keeping people from swimming where there are boats coming in. The beach is very close but parents are constantly letting their kids swim in the boat area.... More
