Great views, north tip of the island, a "must see" for any beach going fan. Not crowded, since it's a bit difficult to get to...sometimes hard to find parking nearby since it's a little residential neighborhood at the north tip of the island.

I almost hesitate to write this review. This beach is off the beaten path which makes it even better. Perfect sand, minimal waves, incredible dolphin/manatee spotting. The only downside is the walk from the off-street parking. It's such a wide beach that it's a surprising...More

Better than the pool...you have the sea! At Bean Point you’ll have the beach pretty much to yourself! Soft white sand (which squeaks when you walk on it) clear water that’s warm...and if you’re lucky enough a friendly... More

Definitely not a snorkelling area! The currents are very powerful as it is at the confluence of Tampa Bay and the Gulf. You only have to take one look at the water to see how strong the current is.
