Really, the sharks are so plentiful that when we arrived they "swarmed" the boat! I watched underwater and realized that they'd made a kind of "shark pyramid" and some were launching out of the water to get on top of the others. You get so entranced in the moment you'll forget to be scared (if you're fish averse) plus the... More

Nurse Sharks are harmless.... and the Rays are HUGE! I snorkeled in Tahiti three years ago -- these are tremendously larger and more abundant here! Respect the sea life. Don't touch, and stay back 6-8 feet. Great experience! I hired Coral Divers Belize, Captain Genie, with Snorkeling Guide Devon. GREAT experience! Take your GoPro to video!

There were quite a few different tour companies all at the same location, but it didn't feel super crowded. I would bet that during "peak season" it would feel like too many people in one place. Swimming with sharks was really neat! The nurse sharks come right up to the boat, even when the water isn't being chummed. You jump... More

We went snorkeling first and enjoyed the reef area. After we did that our tour guide took us to shark ray alley. It was wild swimming with the sharks and rays. She's your heart beat fast! Memorable experience.

If you want to get up close and personal with nurse sharks, sting rays and other kinds of fish, this is for you. Easy snorkelling, water is usually clear with great visibility, and there are always plenty of marine species to see. This is because every dive boat, chums the water and the fish have come to expect it.

I was kind of nervous about swiming with Sharks, but I never felt I was in danger, some of the sharks were large. According to our guide they are always there, so there is no worry that they won't be there. Snorkling here was super fantasic.

We visited shark ray alley on a snorkeling tour from our resort on Ambergris Caye. It is an absolute must. You are only in the water for 15 minutes, but the sharks and rays swarm around the boat in pandemonium. We never felt in any danger, as nurse sharks are generally harmless. But it was magic to get up close... More

This adventure is appropriately named. Most snorkel trips head here after snorkeling the Hol Chan Marine Reserve. They tell you to get in the water quickly if you want to see the nurse sharks and rays. They hang food over the side of the boat and the sharks/rays come running to eat. The sharks and rays are variety sizes. I... More

Not a man man tourist trap. And if you don't want to jump on stay I. The boat. Eith way you'll get... More

It was cool to see the rays and sharks...but come on they threw chum out to attract them. The sharks and rays were literally brushing up against you.
