Our family of 6 went on a sunset cruise a few days ago that we will never forget. Our captain was Iver and the crew were James, Gabi and Jackson. All were fantastic, fun, knowledgeable. It was windy and the water was choppy but we felt absolutely safe with this crew. This was our first sunset cruise ever and they made the experience memorable. The cruise included drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) with chips and really delicious pico de gallo salsa. James is also a DJ and played reggae music during the tour. There was a fun vibe all around.
One thing we really liked about this crew was how well they handled the children in our group. We had a 6 yr old and an 8 yr old and they really paid attention to them and made sure they had something to eat and drink and were also enjoying themselves. James and Jackson showed them how to feed the seagulls with chips. Sometimes in group tours like this where it’s mostly adults, it’s easy for the crew to ignore the children in favor of making sure the adults had a good time. We’re so thankful this company, and in particular this crew, made sure that the kids were also having fun and participating in everything. It really made a difference. The kids loved it.
The cruise was about 2.5 hours long. The sunset was absolutely breathtaking. Iver knew just the right way to position the catamaran so we all had a perfect Instagram worthy pic of the sunset. After sunset, it was lovely seeing the lights of San Pedro as we returned back to dock. We had never sailed in mostly darkness before so that was also an enjoyable first time experience.
We booked this tour thru our concierge but when we return next year, I’m booking directly with them for our snorkeling and diving excursions. There’s a fantastic vibe with this company and I highly recommend that you go to them first for all your water recreation excursions in Ambergris Caye.

We had amazing experiences with Searious Adventures on all 3 of our all day snorkeling trips we took in December 2019. Our guides, Captain Ivor, James and Gabi did a fantastic job with our tours. They were very friendly, funny, knowledgeable and informative about the reefs, history of Belize and the Marine life. Ivor the best snorkel guide ever!! He made sure we saw more marine life then we did on our previous trips with other tour companies. We were very impressed with him and the other guides because of how well they took care of all their guest. They helped people that couldn’t swim, helped fix your mask, helped mend a wound and even helped entertain the kids too. We had to go through a rain storm and they made sure everyone was covered and warm. The trips included drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) fruit, and chips and the best Pico de Gallo salsa I have ever had and for desert a very delicious coconut tarts. James is the comedian and also a DJ and played great island music during the tours. All the guides made these adventures amazing and unforgettable. We will go back to Searious Adventures going forward and we recommend that others use them too.

Visited San Pedro from January 17th to the 24th and booked the Hol Chan/Shark Ray Alley tour and main land Mayan Ruin tour of Lamanai with Searious Adventures.
The Hol Chan/Shark Ray Alley tour was headed by Iver, he was a wonderful tour captain and was very knowledgable of the area, the reef and how Belize is trying to protect the reef as much as possible. Part of the tour is to visit Caye Caulker where he pointed us to Kareem's for a lobster lunch.
The second tour we schedule was a visit to Lamanai, Junior was our tour guide for this trip. He explained the importance of the villages and agriculture of the area we were traveling through on the way to the site. We met up with Hiberto who was the river and ruins tour guide, he has been giving the tour 3 times a week for the last 37 years. So much information was given over the course of the day. You are required to pay the fee of $5.00 US per person at the museum on site upon arrival. Both were fantastic tours.

We booked our excursion to Lamani via our hotel and they picked us up right at the dock of our resort! The captain of our first boat was skilled, for that day the wind was blowing and we had to cross choppy waters. We transferred to a larger vessel with about 30 passengers on board. They provided breakfast sandwiches and fresh fruit, while telling us about the islands we passed by. This trip had multiple excursions (three, I believe) all going to different destinations. Although, I was saddened about the short time spent in Lamani; however, I was understanding that they were coordinating multiple places and times. After our tour, a yummy lunch was provided of local flare with cold drinks (Belikin!). We transferred again, to a bus that provided snacks and cold drinks (rum punch and Belikin were offered, along with non-alcholic beverages). Transferred again to the boat that took us from San Pedro and again, beverages were provided! One more transfer to the small boat that took us to our resort. The crew were safety aware by showing everyone the life vests, escapes and even a small head that was on board. The crew were very accomodating and funny! Thanks for the memories Searious Adventures!

So my wife and I spend two months in Belize every year and do their sunset cruise at least twice a year in those two months because we love it so much. And we usually bring anywhere from 8-16 people with us as we know a lot of people who winter here. Well this year we scheduled for 16 of us but the day of the sunset cruise my wife got a bad cold and felt very ill. When I arrived with the other 14 guests I had invited (and already paid for) I asked if we could get one credit for my wife not being there. I didn’t want a reimbursement but just wanted a credit so we could go again in a week or two. The lady at the desk said she would have to check with her boss. After I did a head count of 22 people the boat was full as they say they allow only a maximum of 22 people for the cruise so they lost no money. Last year they allowed a group of just 8 of us so we know they do smaller groups. I came back two days later and was told they would NOT provide a credit. Such a terrible decision for them. I will no longer bring a group to go here. The thing is, they cancel these trips quite often due to bad weather which is understandable because people don’t want to go out in bad weather. So you’d think they’d be flexible because they want the customer to be flexible too. They should change this policy. I will look at other options when we all consider our next sunset cruise.

We scheduled to take the Xunantunich/ Cave Tubing Tour with Searious Adventures and they were phenomenal!
Jose picked us up at our hotel on time and while riding the boat to their main location, Jose spotted a dolphin and took us to where it was so that we could see it.
The trip took off on time and Jose was super informative and super knowledgeable about the history of Belize during our boat ride to Belize City.
In Belize City, the groups were sent with their own tour guide from Searious Adventures ( our tour guide was Junior)...Junior was also phenomenal and made the 2 hour trip to the ruins seem like 30 minutes. He was also super knowledgeable with the entire history of Belize and explained all of our surroundings during the drive.
The breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks (rum punch 😜) were amazing and he even let us try their local raspberry and cashew wine on our way back from our trip.
I would most definitely recommend this company to anyone visiting Belize!
Thanks again!!

The sea life was beautiful, lots of sharks and rays, but this tour company was definitely only seeing dollar signs. We waited and waited to go, then made extra stops to pick up more people, on an already full boat, then rushed to get back to the boat after snorkeling so they can load up the next tour. Pass.

No record of these guests. We reported it to trip advisor and we reached out to the reviewer for additional information and no response!
Searious Adventures adheres strictly to the laws and regulations of Belize Port Authority so we could not have been adding guests to an already full boat. Also we give more time for our half day snorkeling than most Tour Operators and we have a 2 hour window between tours so no need to rush for a consecutive tour. Seeing dollars ? We are a business after all and after a very slow slow season yeah we are anxious and feel blessed to be working but not at the expense of our 5 star service! No way.. happy travels everyone !!

We have had several spectacular tours with Searious Adventures, and they were the highlight of our vacations. We booked two of the full-day catamaran trips to Caye Caulker/Snorkeling tours in Hol Chan marine reserve. The crew lead by Captain Ivor who made sure the boat was safe & comfortable while taking care of everyone’s needs. He even fixed the toilet! James is the 1st mate, comedian, historian & DJ. James gave a thorough snorkeling introduction, how-to, and safety briefing. Both Ivor & James are excellent dive guides and make sure everyone is safe and see as many sea creature as they can find. After snorkeling they serve delicious fresh fruit and pico de gallo with chips on the boat, along with beers, sodas, rum punch, and water. Ivor & James make a great team and you should request them for your next adventure. They are fantastic hosts and kept us educated, involved and entertained throughout the entire trip. This is always our favorite tour while in Ambergris Caye. Amazing, fun and safe, we highly recommend!

My partner and I went on the Lamanai Mayan Ruins tour! We booked directly through our resort, Xanadu (on San Pedro), and with our package, breakfast, lunch, and drinks were provided. (For those curious, breakfast included a sandwich, fresh fruit, and orange juice and lunch featured traditional Belizean cuisine, more fresh fruit, and drinks.) Not only this, but the boat to Belize City, the van to the New River, and the boat to the Mayan Ruins were also taken care of (as well as the trip back). Sea Rious even picked us up and dropped us off at our resort dock! For the price, this package was well worth it. The only additional fee was a $5 USD park entrance fee when we arrived at Lamanai.
Our tour guides (Jackson, Jon) were FANTASTIC, knowledgable, lively, and very personable. For this tour, Sea Rious partnered with an Eco Tour company, which provided Mr. Hil/Hilberto as a guide, who honestly made the trip even more educational. While on the boat on the New River, he stopped several times to show us various wildlife. He also was very charismatic and had a wonderful sense of humor!
We honestly could not have asked for a better day and would easily do it again!

Our family of six recently embarked on a thrilling adventure with Searious Adventures during our trip to San Pedro, Belize. Opting for the Mayan Ruins and Cave Tubing excursion, we chose to boat from Ambergris Caye to the mainland and back. To say the experience exceeded our expectations would be an understatement.
The friendly guides were the backbone of this all-day excursion, ensuring our every need was met with care and attention. From our lead guide, Junior, who infused the journey with enthusiasm, to the professional driver, the knowledgeable Mayan Ruin guide, and our expert Cave Tubing river guide, every team member played a crucial role in making this adventure truly exceptional.
I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a memorable and well-guided exploration of the Mayan Ruins and Cave Tubing. Searious Adventures' commitment to excellence and the professionalism of their team made this day-long expedition a highlight of our family trip to Belize.

What days do they do the cave tubing and Belize Zoo tour? Also, do they pick you up from your resort or is there a central meeting point?

I am not sure what days they do that tour. Send an email to Sandy: searious at btl net and she can answer that for you. They do pick you up at your resort. They always do a fantastic job!

Is this company respectful of the marine life? We are looking to book with a company that doesn't handle the animals.
Written September 19, 2017
Yes they're very respectful. They have some food that they give to the fish so that they'll swim out and people can see the different species.
