Lovely island but probably wouldn't go back

My partner and I visited at the tail end of a trip up through Guatemala and Belize. It was the 'restful / holiday' part of the trip. The island is really sweet, no roads, just sand tracks and some bars / restaurants on the beach. There is a good mix of accommodation and plenty of supermarkets to grab day to... More

We came here for snorkelling, birds and local flavour but couldn't be more disappointed so far. Every direction you go there is building work. All noise and restriction of where you can go because builders are there. This is supposed to be an Island free of vehicles but the builders trucks are everywhere. Rubbish is also everywhere you look. I... More

We visited Caye Caulker in November and we absolutely loved this island. Amazing nature, amazing diving, lovable people and very chilled out atmosphere. A place where we spent a really beautiful time!

We visited here and were very happy with the Belizean ambiance on this island. It is not as commercialized as other islands in Belize. If you would like a relaxing visit, with loads of various water sports available, this is a great place for it.

Everything about Caye Caulker is magical. The island transports you to paradise. It's friendly and feels very safe. Everything is right by the beautiful blue sea and provides an unforgettable experience. You can loaf around all day easily, walking or cycling back and forth to the village, taking in the sunset at the Lazy Lizard on the split or sitting... More

Had a great time here! So many great restaurants and people are very friendly. Lots of people trying to sell you things, but they don't push like they do in other places. The beaches are ok - lots of seaweed/grass so i preferred having a floating noodle it raft to lay on. Bring bug spray! Lots of mosquitos.

Starting from Belize Terminal in a high speed power boat with three huge outboards it was a great ride to Caye Caulker. Order lunch on route, get down with sting rays, nurse sharks, barracuda and loads more for 1.5 hours of snorkelling pleasure. Excellent quality masks and snorkels provided. Lunch was good fun at the Lazy Lizard, the Belikin beer... More

Walk barefeet and just enjoy.....No rush here and no cars too! Lovely atmosphere. Take a cruise with one of the companies (i strongly recommend Raggamuffin) and enjoy your beakfast at Ice 'n Beans as there is no other place where the Island life presents itself.....Never in a rush and no stress!

Caye Caulker has a pretty nice vibe to it, generally relaxed with a few pumping bars. We found the accommodation was generally quite expensive compared to other places. A lot of generic tourist souvenirs but a few unique pieces here and there. We found the reef to be nice enough but it wasn't the best area in Belize from what... More
