There were no all inclusive resorts, but the island has enough small restaurants. There are plenty of street food vendors. The island seems to be getting more commercial for tourists, but there are still basically no cars. Golf carts, bikes or walking are the transportation.

Given that Caye Caulker is a Caye made of sand we were expecting there to be a good beach to chill during the day and go for a swim, however we were left disappointed. There is an area called “The Split” which is at the...More

This island is an absolute must. One of the most beautiful islands on earth. The people are super friendly and you must take time to speak to the locals, most aren’t actually selling you something, they are just pleased to chat. One local told me...More

We really enjoyed the few hours we spent on Caye Caulker. It has a totally different vibe from Ambergris Caye with an overall younger crowd(think hostels and backpackers) and a very chill atmosphere. We took the 11:00am watertaxi, spend about half an hour at the...More

If you don't want to drink, dine out, snorkel, drink more...then Caye Caulker may not be the right place for you. There is no shortage of good food, cheap drinks and good times to be had....but when it rains, there is really not much else...More

We traveled here for the day from San Pedro, and wish we hadn’t. There isn’t much to do, since you need to purchase a tour to go snorkeling. We just wanted to snorkel at some beach, but the “beaches” are more disgusting than those in...More

Super cheap. You aren’t drinking anywhere in NY this cheap. The lazy lizard is the only place you will see US type prices.

Bugs are more prevalent on the Westside of the island. But I didn't find they were bad at all. I think they ramp up during the summer months.

Go to the websites for the 2 ferry services: San Pedro Express and Ocean Ferry. Then look up the schedules. For both companies it looks like the last boat from CC to San Pedro is 6:15pm.
