I went on this tour with Pacz (Manuel was an excellent excellent guide) and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Reading some people saying how intense this was made me concerned I would be slowing people down and at times I did but it was all about the...More

My husband and I booked this tour because it sounded beautiful and exciting. There were two VERY important things we didn’t know when we chose this tour. One, you really truly do need to be in very very good physical shape to stay safe and...More

Luis from Kawiil Tours did a great job; he's been 16 years guiding at ATM and does not rush and is generally prepared for all types of visitors, whatever their level of fitness. It is fascinating to see the way the Mayans used the cave...More

It’s all about who your guide is (we left from Chaa Creek). We were very lucky to have a guide who got us in early, explained the history/geology/fauna and didn’t rush us. On our way back there were guides who were hustling back and loosing...More

We did many adventures in Belize this trip and this was the highlight for us. I was a bit confused on what to wear so let me focus on that. Shoes - water shoes like Keens or tennis shoes that you don't mind getting wet....More

Reading all of the reviews, you can get psyched out if you are looking for a reason not to do this. Some people say it's easy, others day it's hard. Really, who can make that determination for someone else? It's so subjective and depends on...More

ATM was a great site to see. This site won't be open to the public for very long as there has been lots of damage and erosion done from so many tourists in the past. They don't allow cameras on any part of the trip...More

Worth the money! I paid ~$100 with Kawiil Tours. Who you book with does not make a big difference because the individual guides are certified by the government. They subcontract with the companies that offer the tours. Wear shoes you can walk and swim in....More

The Mrs. and I are in our early 60’s. We are runners, swimmers, and bikers and are in decent shape. The swimming, river crossings and caving were no problem. The hardest part was the climb when you get out of the water in the cave...More

ATM was amazing! I have never done any type of caving so this was a cool experience. I booked my trip through Pacz Tour and had a great storyteller of a guide named Manuel aka Manny. After the 7 mile shuttle ride down the bumpy...More

If you can lift things above your head and crawl on your hands and feet, you should be okay. The 20-foot climb is the most difficult part of the journey. I can only think of one other difficult part and that really only took... More

We (couple in average shape in our 60s) were worried about how difficult the tour would be too, but you just follow your guide and do what he says, step where he says to step and you will be good to go -it is so worth it... More

I don't know about water levels. But if they say it's ok, then do it. Best tour of my life! Swimming in a dark cave.... you can't beat it.
