This cave is more a train-sized tunnel through a mountain. It was used by the Maya but long ago looted. Its easily accessible although we had to walk down the road about 100 yards due to recent rains and mud. Again suitable footwear. the surrounding...More

We stopped at this cave on the way to Caracol. The entrance is big. There is a large domed cavern. It isn't very long. There are steps in the cave.

Rio Frio Cave is an interesting place to visit as there are unique rock formations however , there’s not much to do once you’ve seen the entrance. The site is also very isolated and kinda gave me the creeps but overall if your in the...More

This was our first cave we visited in Belize, so we don’t have anything to compare it to in terms of size or wonderment, but we thought it was a great cave. Roads getting to it are terrible, but it’s worth it. Bring a head...More

We stopped here after Caracal tour since we had our own car. The cave is huge and restrictions are non-existent so the kids could climb responsibly and get a feel for the scope. It is a nice way to stretch your legs from the bumpy...More

Interesting cave with some historical significance. When we stopped the sound of cicadas was amazing loud and nearly as exciting as the cave itself. Pools to take a dip in.

The road to the Pine Ridge area from the main road in San Ignacio (or, 'hi way' as they call them in Belize) is very bumpy. Have a suitable car. We were there in the dry season. I'd hate to think what some washed out...More
