Many sites to enjoy over 2 or so days - waterfalls, swimming ponds, caves, there's real variety here for soft adventuring. Even mountain biking on Bronson Trail. Best enjoyed with a good guide.

Don't miss 1,000 foot falls on your way to/from Caracol, worth the extra minutes. You can picnic at some of these places, but none is yet ready for overnight camping. Many hikes are available to creeks roaring in rainy season, peaceful in dry season.

A really nice area with Rio On Pools and Rio Frio caves as the highlights as well as many high end lodges. Really lousy road though. With as much tourist traffic as this area receives couldn't they take a grader to it twice a year...More

Mario was an awesome guide! We learned so much about the culture and country from him. The hike through the cave and up to the multiple waterfalls was absolutely breathtaking!

Went with a group of colleagues and had a great Bar-B-Q at Rio On pools before enjoying another swim at Big Rock falls. Strongly rec'd for those who enjoy being outdoors and just taking in the scenery.

Just went back through my pictures and found the sign for one of the zip line companies near the ridge - Calico Jack's.
