The place has it all. Great accomodation in a classical style, tasty local food, pool, bar, little zoo, horse riding, river boating. We enjoyed all of the amenities during our short stay. The most important for us was that the place was just a few miles from the capital city of Belmopan, and the main highways.

loved loved loved our horseback riding experience. The guides were very attentive and added a great adventure component to each of our rides. However, the 'captured/rescued' animals on premised left my heart broken. Especially the chained up spider monkey to a tree. so wrong. The Jaguar was also caged in a tiny cage.

I'm not a fan of horseback riding but in the jungle, I became a fan. When we were in Belize we used every form of transportation for pleasure and the horse completed that. It was a blast!

We went on a 1.5 hour trek at this ranch and it was great fun. We walked/trotted down a forest track before heading in to rainforest and through plantations and riding back to the ranch. My husband is a novice rider but he felt safe in the Western style saddle and we even went for a canter. Lots of lovely... More

We saw beautiful birds in the premise: Toucans, Parrots, Macaws, and others who were rescued from the wild. There is a young jaguar resting in her own little space; she was rescued five years ago. The premise is full of tropic flowers. We had a good and long conversation with Caroline Carr the resident artist, and were greeted warmly by... More

Went to ride horses and found myself getting into all sorts of other fun. looked like a gorgeous place to stay. Loved the animals. Like a small zoo. The money was cute, it climbed up onto my head.

This is not your grandmother's pony ride! What fun! Solid well kept horses. Good guides. You see the jungle, gallop, ride in a creek, and take on some challenging trails.

The eco spot has great potential as the site itself is charming. The tour was just a boat ride, the boat was not clean, the tour guide was non-communicative and had nothing to offer about the scene. There was no safety gear provided even though it was requested. One additional concern is that there were absolutely no signs along the... More

Stefan is a great guide for horseback riding - charming and a great horseman. If you are not staying there, you can still get lunch on the glorious grounds after your ride. HIghly recommended by locals also, for horseback riding. They host a riding camp for local school children in July - great place.

Our family spent an amazing week at Banana Bank Ranch. Half our group stayed in the air-conditioned rooms and the others had a jungle cabana. We were pleased with all our accommodations which were clean and comfortable.
