This is a very small museum on the hotel grounds. It has great explanation about volcanoes around the lake, what kind they are and the formation of them and the lake. Also map that shows the mane of each one. Also, has pottery from the area and the lake. Nice displays but they need cards next to pots so you... More

This was a nice place, I've learned more about the culture. They have two different places. Both places are really good, especially the submarine museum

Great little museum with pottery from the area and very interesting visuals on the geological history of the area and the lake. Bottom part is made to resemble underwater excavations of archaeological site. Great place!!!

This museum is much smaller than I expected, given the huge National Geographic sign out front. To find it, you need to walk past the check-in desk for the hotel. We were the only visitors, so they had to turn the lights on for us. It's only around $5 to enter. The exhibit gives a good history of the region.... More

I bought my ticket and was told it covers two museums. I didn't see the very small English language explanations about the creation of Lake Atitlán until I asked then they were pointed out to me. The relics themselves are well displayed in this first museum but without labels. The collection is displayed throughout two small rooms. There are no... More

This very high end hotel is also home to ruins and a series of museums. All are interesting, with a quite small but well displayed selection of artefacts. I thoroughly enjoyed the hour or so spent wandering around. Topped it off with a very nice, if pricey, lunch in the hotel restaurant.
