The stairway is the only feature in the park itself with real information provided. It is beautiful, and seeing it carefully preserved is reassuring.

The hieroglyphic stairway is one of the most impressive aspects of the ruins. It is now undercover so it is slightly harder to see but hopefully it will be better protected.
you can't miss it during the visit of the Copán archealogic park. One of the stones is missing but it is the Mayan building that has more history in their hieroglyphics than any other structure from that time
amazing place. Sad to see it in less good shape than our first trip 25 years ago. It is covered which helps but many of the stones have lost the really bright contrast between the carvings and the stone itself.
This stairway is located within the Copan ruins park. It's an impressive structure and definitely worth checking out.
The only thing I did not like was the yellow plastic covering the staircase making taking pictures difficult and the fact that you could not approach it because of a railing in front of it, apart from that a beautiful piece of art
