I went to the park with my friends. We took a guided tour and learned all about the ruins. It was eye opening to how sophisticated and well developed the Mayans were!!

another building within the Copan Ruinas, just next to the Hieroglyphic Stairway. We saw bigger Pelota stadiums, but it still is a very nice building.

When you enter copan ruins you definitely transport yourself with all the history it has! Fantastic place

The ball court is in excellent shape. Some of the original stone sculptures have been removed in order to preserve them. There are models in the area so you see how it looked. Don't worry though, the originals are all just a short walk away...More
