Used my entrance ticket from the main ruins (yesterday's ticket) to enter Las Sepulturas first thing in the morning. Visited all of the structures, and sat in the shade watching many mot-mots, orioles, squirrels and a pair of squirrel cuckoos, plus many other birds. Found...More

The Sepulturas is about a mile from the main ruins at Copan and admission is included with the ticket to Copan ruins. We were fortunate to have a taxi (tuk tuk) driver from town who recommended that we buy our tickets at the main park...More

After I visited this area I could say that it really worth to visit it. Try to hire a local tour guide in order to get the proper explanation and tour around it.

The Mayan history is very interesting and they let visitors walk around the current site where archeologists are working. I loved the early morning solitude and birding opportunity in this reserve. It says it is open from 0800 but it is open by 06:45 and...More

This is a small outer site of the main Copán ruins. It's no way near as impressive but as it's included in the price it's worth a visit. You can't go direct from the main ruins - ignore the guide books and maps, that path...More
