Ashley was a great tour guide. Very informative and knowledgeable. I'll be sure to stop, again, soon. A little of our history. I hope they keep this place for a long time.

Excellent time, cool history of the house and the jail where the prisoners were kept. The lady that took us through was very informative and shared a lot of knowledge.

We took a night tour throughout the jail with Ghost Chasers , it was a great lesson about the place. This place is most definitely haunted! No doubt in my mind at all!

We have passed by Ashburn many time on our travels on Inter. 75 and finally decided to make a trip to the museum. It was fantastic! The people at the Champer of Commerce was extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us the tour and even recommended a place for lunch. The tour was authentic and packed full of interesting sites... Before I begin my review of the Crime and Punishment museum I'd like to start off by saying that the Chamber of Commerce in Ashburn, Georgia are the most helpful people I have ever met. Stevi Thompson, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Ben Baker, the museum curator have always been very helpful and accommodating when I first started... More

We'd passed the billboard several times, and decided to plan our travel to allow for a stop at this museum. Online (somewhere) I'd seen hours listed from 10 am. We were disappointed to learn that it is now open "by appointment only". In fact, after looking again, their website does say that tours are by appointment...but, understand that it's OPEN... More

We are so sorry we missed you! Like you said, we are only able to open the museum by appointment, but please don't let that discourage you! We at the Chamber of Commerce (directly across the street) are always willing to make arrangements with Historical Preservation volunteers or to simply walk over and give you a tour ourselves. We would... More

I spoke to the Chamber of Commerce on two separate occasions and was assured we would have a tour guide. We left Florida a day early on our trip so we would have time to stop here before moving on, and we got stood up. No guide. No tour. And the added cost of an extra night in a hotel.... More

In a quaint town, next to their courthouse, which is being immaculately refurbished by prisoners with a trade, this was a great stop for us. Our guide, Wayne, knew tons about Ashburn and the prison. It was highly informative. There probably wasn't a high rate of recidivism in this prison.
