What a beatiful little chapel-- on the outside. The interior is very much for performance/theater. Definitely it is an intimate theater and would be a unique place to see a performance. It also seems like it would be a great place to do a photoshoot.

I love this venue, and have seen many plays performed here. Every seat is good due to the rise in the floor as you go back further from the stage. The balcony feels sturdy despite the building being well over a hundred years old. The bathrooms are located down in the basement. I love historical places and this one has... More

One of the historic gems in Athens that was almost lost until the University of Georgia purchased it and the adjoining house. Beautifully restored it is now used for theatrical performances and private events.

I attend The Christmas Carol there at Christmas. It's an intimate, old timey, fun venue, which makes the actors very accessible to the audience. A great space for performances, although they can be pricey.

After searching and calling many churches and other wedding venues, the Seney-Stovall Chapel was one of the best locations for the price I found in getting married in Athens. For $625, you got 4 hours on Friday and 5 hours on Sunday. I was stunned that some churches wanted more than $900 for a 30 minute ceremony in their chapel.... More
