This is a wonderful resource for the local and nearby residents to enjoy. User friendly and a pleasure to explore and appreciate what the city and county have provided for us to enjoy. If you support the community and the preservation of wildlife, you won't be dissapointend in this presensation of a local and caring zoo.

Cute free zoo. Nice leisurely walk. Bear exhibit was closed so I was pretty disappointed but overall a nice little visit.

Relaxed atmosphere. Tall trees, large lake, playground and picnic areas surround the modest size animal habitat.. Handicapped accessable. Friendly guides encourage small animal petting and Q&A. Donations accepted.

I took my kids to Bear Hollow when they were children in the eighties. The zoo gets better and better. The animals kept there have had some problem that keeps them from surviving in the wild. The zoo staff does a great job of taking care of them.

We took our young granddaughter and she enjoyed it. Nothing to compare to big city zoos, but a nice little park that will appeal to toddlers. Nice and shady--a plus during the summer months.

This is exactly what a zoo should look like. Rescue local animals, give them aid and show them to humans in order to raise awareness... the ONLY kind of zoo I appreciate! Thanks, great job!!!

I was amazed that this was free! We got out and looked around a bit and used the restrooms which were surprisingly very clean. The whole zoo was well laid out, the animals were almost all visible, the decorations were adorable, the couple of employees we saw seemed to really care about the place and were working hard. My son... More

The animals in this zoo are animals that could not be released back into the wild for physical or behavioral reasons. It's a pretty small zoo and doesn't take long to walk through, but it's a nice spot to visit on a pretty day if you're looking for something free to do. The zoo is in a nice park, so... More

Looking to fill some time while visiting my son at UGA, I went to the Bear Hollow Zoo on a Tuesday morning. This little gem is located an a neighborhood surrounded by beautiful, big trees. I was worried that the GPS was confused, but the parking lot appeared near some admin buildings. Follow the path & signs to the zoo... More
