Our family really enjoyed learning about the local history at this museum. It is well laid out, interesting, and a welcome reprieve on a hot summer day. We had spent the morning along the Riverwalk and Farmer's Market, then midday we spent several hours at the museum before returning to the river for a boat ride. The whole experience was... More

We visited to experience the "Red Scare" an escape room experience in March of 2017. So much fun, so well done. Had no idea how big the museum is, and so interesting. Many different types of exhibits, Golf, transportation, history, music and medicine. Well worth visiting more than one.

This is a great museum telling us about the history of Augusta, GA. We spent about a hour there but we could have stayed twice as long if we had the time. It's only a block away from the "River Walk" which was also a wonderful place to visit.

A wonderful fun time with family. We've made it a tradition for us to get together the weekend of Easter. We celebrate Good Friday by eating the food we cooked when we were growing up. And then we have a formal Easter dinner on Saturday night. This is a sacred time for us.

This is a pretty cool museum that provides a lot of info on Georgia and Augusta's role in the revolutionary and civil wars. It also has a whole section for James Brown, a room for golf and the Master's as well as a room with Victorian era stuff. its worth the $4 to spend an hour and a half there.

My husband and I enjoyed our visit to the Augusta History Museum last Saturday. We were amazed at the amount of exhibits to see and so much history to learn about. Many interesting exhibits and artifacts from days gone by. Loved it!

This is a cool local Museum and for only $4 per person, very reasonable. The entire collection can be seen in about an hour. It's also situated in close proximity to the river walk and broad street.
