Located on the Riverwalk in downtown Augusta, the Morris is the oldest museum in the country dedicated to the art and artists of the American South. Its permanent collection includes nearly 5,000 works of art, dating from the late-eighteenth century to the present. The Morris also hosts twelve or more special exhibitions every year and provides a rich variety of public programs and events. Admission is FREE every Sunday.

Good collection with lots of variety. Be sure to see the back rooms where the exhibits change more frequently.

Definitely worth a visit. Significant collection of southern artists set in a gorgeous building. Affordable everyday and FREE on Sunday.

The collections of art are amazing. The location at the Riverwalk makes this the perfect beginning to an afternoon, I understand that they have many events including afternoon musicals as well. We enjoyed the docents who were kind enough to answer questions and tell stories...More

Regina is correct. I went to the Museum on a Sunday, and so it was free. I don't know what the regular rate is.
