The Morris is a wonderful way to discover distinctly Southern art. It is located downtown, on the Riverwalk. Parking is free. Sunday's are free. I enjoyed the way things are set up. You start by experiencing art and artifacts of the 18th century South, then...More

For Augusta, a nice start. No, it isn't the High Museum, and never will be. But some interesting, worth seeing exhibits do pass through, and some permanent loan items are certainly a step of for a mid size Southern city.

The art museum is small but interesting. On Sunday afternoon at 2 pm there are free events which include concerts, lecture, and different interesting activities for families, couples, individuals. Well worth a visit.

This is a wonderful small art museum. A true gem in downtown Augusta. Good civil war art. They offer guided and unguided tours with trained docents.

We are locals and went here for an afternoon. Wonderful artwork and highly educational. The gift shop offers souvenirs and many gift ideas. Will be back to see the next exhibit, John Mellencamp's just left April 12th.

Regina is correct. I went to the Museum on a Sunday, and so it was free. I don't know what the regular rate is.
