This walk is on a mostly paved pathway in the Mauna Lani resort area. It's wonderful in the morning when it is not too hot. It goes over lava fields and contains the remnants of an ancient lava tube home. There are historic fish ponds...More

This trail goes to some interesting lava tubes and then along the Mauna Lani fish ponds. It is well maintained and very pleasant. Start the hike near the entrance to the Mauna Lani Hotel spa and fitness center.

We walked the history tour which is very informative. But the gem of this is the fish ponds and beach! There is a brackish water pool with photo friendly eels! Lots of paths to explore, glad we found this place!
