This was not our first luau. We've been to the Old Lahaina Luau on Maui twice. The prices were the same so we were expecting something similar. However, we were disappointed. Lahaina's food and service, along with the show and story line are far superior....More

I can't say enough great things about the luau. It's expensive yes, but totally worth it. The performances are fantastic, if you go early you can see them cook the pig. The food is delicious and so much of it. The drinks are refreshing and...More

This was my first Luau so I wasn't sure what to expect but I must say I was delighted. The entertainers were very professional, the show told a story of Hawaii's history and the food and drink wer of a high quality. If you have...More

The show was moderately entertaining ... similar to other luaus we’ve been to. Food was excellent and the location/setting was beautiful. One complimentary drink is provided ... additional drinks are $16.00 each! I was surprised to receive a bill of $618.00 for 4 people which...More

This was our first Luau so I don’t have much perspective to compare it to others, but I will say I’m generally pretty cynical and I was worried that we were paying a lot of money for a cheesy experience and mediocre food. The actual...More

I am currently a guest at the Mauna Kea. Tonight, we went to the luau dinner and show. It was horrible all the way around. First, the service was poor. Had a weak melted mai tai upon arrival, then never saw wait staff again to...More

Beautiful setting. Very entertaining throughout the meal and show. The musicians, dancers, and gracious emcee were all genuine and engaged. Fire dance was particularly good. We have been to several luaus on other islands and this was our favorite.

If you don't want to be treated as second class you better buy a "premier" ticket. Even though, they have assigned tables, all premier guests were seated before standard guests ,even those who arrived early. Standard guests missed 1/2 of the first act because it...More

I didn’t know they even had that option ... so don’t know how much it was. Show was what you would expect for any luau. They advertise great ocean view ... not much to see when it’s dark out.

On the big island you need to rent a car.. An uber will run you $50.. and that is the cost of a rental.. lots of stuff to see outside of your resort.. unless you are on your honeymoon

We paid $270 for 2 of us and it wasn’t worth $20. Horrible.
