The road to Ke’e and LUMAHAI beaches is still closed. I drove around one “road closed” sign only to encounter a checkpoint with police stopping people from driving thru. They say it will be open in August. Was disappointed but there are plenty of other...More

Ke’e Beach is a beautiful beach at the end of the North shore road. It is worth the journey but go early for close parking, it is popular for good reason!!! We enjoyed the walk in the area, while it was obvious this is a...More

We drove to the end of the road and parked. The beach had a sign that said it was closed and the lifeguard was gone, so no problem with parking today. We decided to go for a walk along the entire beach and listened to...More

Small beach area, but still lovely. Beautiful rocky point at one end with rock shelves to sit on. Clean. Lifeguard protected. Very crowded. Located directly across from the starting point of Kalalau Trail. Small parking lot, but I had no problem finding parking. There was...More

This is arguably the most beautiful beach in the world. We arrived on a rainy day, as end-point of our West-side tour of the island. the parking was crowded and muddy, there was even a water torrent crossing the road before we got there... The...More

We came to this beach today and it was a great place to swim and snorkel. There were turtles and seals as well as many types of fish to see. The water was not too deep for the kids to enjoy. Parking was a pain...More

Ke'e Beach is truly spectacular. Pull over for a picture at the turnout before desending down the hill. Very large beach with good parking as well. Highly reccomend when visiting Kauai.

We enjoyed this beach because during our stay in March most beaches were not recommended for swimming with very large waves, but this one seemed safe and the lifeguard on duty did not discourage swimming (even though online it said swimming was discouraged due to...More

I really liked this beach, but the parking is BUSY! That is what makes it hard, if you don't come early enough u=you won't get parking in either the 1st or secondary parking lots! See the Napil trail starts here too, so you get twice...More

I stumbled upon this wonderful spot unprepared! Lesson leaned; always keep your snorkeling gear and swimsuit with you when driving in Kauai. It may be raining in one area, then as you drive a few minutes, it's sunny! This spot is the end of the...More

Hello, the road is always pending the bridge in Hanalei. If there is heavy rain don't plan on getting down the bridge. If the sun is out you're good. Plan accordingly as it is the "Garden State." Much rain!
