OK, I have to disagree with previous postings. Although it is a beautiful beach it was very crowded. We went to this beach twice during our stay. The parking area was overcrowded with cars and smelled like urine. We found the beach to be dirty...More

Was able to drive as far as Hanalei until being stopped at a road closure check point. Due to storm flooding the best parts of Kauai are closed until as late as next year. Never advertised or mentioned. We found out upon arrival. There is...More

We stayed in princeville two weeks late October 2018. We were told It could be a year or longer of never reopened especially the trails near ke’e beach as the trails were totally destroyed. If they do repair I hope that includes the atrocious parking...More

Love this beach but it is very popular with tourists. Go early to ensure that you get a parking place. I was once sitting on this beach when a seal hauled out of the water to take a rest very close to me.

I have been visiting Kauai since 1976. This is one of my favorite beaches. My daughter and I swam with the beautiful sea turtles on our last visit. Go for it!

We came here last year, and were able to witness part of a hula ceremony at the beach. No pictures or video allowed of the religious ceremony, but just witnessing it contributed to the magic of the place, with the sea and the mountains and...More

Kauai’s North Shore is currently CLOSED to all but residents and will most likely stay that way for the next several months to a year. Visitors CANNOT go beyond Hanalei town. Kauai was hit with a very devastating flood in April then again in August...More

Hello, the road is always pending the bridge in Hanalei. If there is heavy rain don't plan on getting down the bridge. If the sun is out you're good. Plan accordingly as it is the "Garden State." Much rain!
