You can easily reach the view point of the Opaekaa falls by car. However the lookout is very far from the falls so we don't see much. I guess it is worth a stop if you are in the area since it is just a...More

Another short stop that us worth your time. It will only take you about 5 minutes to jump out of your car and get a great view and picture of the Falls. The scenery is breathtaking. There is a handy place to park that also...More

Kauai Revealed Book says this fall is hidden by trees. This is true, however it is a very beautiful waterfall in a garden-like canyon. Don't miss it. It is only a short Drive from the main road.

We only saw this from the pullover car park quite some distance. It's a quick stop for a picture or two. There were no signs to help us understand if or how we could get closer. It is impressive, and a nice windy drive if...More

The very short drive is well worth it. Very lush green hills-river below goes up to the fern grotto. Very easy to walk around.

We rented a couple of convertibles, the set off from Pride of America to tour the northside of Kauai. Our first stop was Opaekaa Falls. The drive was easy and there was a large parking lot for those visiting. I believe there were also bathrooms....More

This is a look out stop on the side of the road . Washrooms available. You are a distance away but if you are not up to hiking , it is a lovely alternative. Remember to cross the road to see a view of the...More

Lovely double falls with a parking lot and restroom to boot! You walk across the road (be careful) to view the Wailua River and the boats that visit the Fern Grotto. There is also a heiau down the road to visit, too.

You can't get close to these waterfalls and have to watch them from the distance. It's not a good experience at all. Most tourists spend 3-5 minutes here, snap a photo, and move on. Go see Wailua falls nearby for a MUCH better view.
