Quick pit - stop Waterfall Lookout!

When you find yourself traveling on North on Hwy 56 be sure to turn left onto Hwy 520 and go see this waterfall with lots of pretty colors and lush greens all around.

Well, for a rest stop, it might be one of the most beautiful! There was plenty of parking at 10am on a Saturday. There are restrooms in the parking lot area, but they didn't have any soap or paper towels. The waterfalls were pretty far from the road look out, but still visible. Small parking area with bathroom. Falls on one side of the road and the river on the other. Just down the road are plenty of opportunities to rent kayaks to go up river. Very pretty but from a distance.

We made a quick detour to the waterfalls. There was adequate parking with restrooms. Then it was a quick shuffle off to the viewing area. The falls was farther away than Wailua falls, but beautiful. We also had a view of the Wailua River and the Smiths River Boat Cruise. Easy to do, but maybe not a "must do".

I love to visit Waterfalls. This was one on my list to visit. This particular Waterfall was a little disappointing compared to the other Waterfalls I saw on Kauai. I don't regret going there, because I wanted to see for myself what it looked like. If you go, just be aware the waterfall isn't as beautiful as some of the... More

What beautiful views of a gorgeous set of waterfalls! We recommend making sure you see the falls from afar and up close if possible. Some of the air tours will show it to you from a small plane!

We headed a few miles up 580 and there was a turn-out and parking lot with a fenced walkway to view the falls. On the other side of the road is a landing to enjoy the view toward the south (you will see the river below). It's a nice stop located just above a State Park and in close proximity... More

Nice easy access to the falls. It is quite a bit away like many have said but it was so easy to drive to and hop out that I would say go for it. We have an 8 month old and it was easy to take him and we could have taken the stroller easily.

Located in Wailua River State Park, this waterfall is 151 feet long and one of the few that can be viewed from the road. Across the street is a nice view of Wailua River. Both spots are worth a look & provide photo opportunities.
