We were really trying hard to see turtles and this beach was our last chance before leaving the island. We got there at 7:30 AM on a Saturday and parking was limited but ok. The reef provides a great backdrop to snorkel and was by...More

Had heard about the snorkeling and beach at Tunnels. This is the second to last beach on the north side of the island. Parking is at a serious premium. There is Ka a beach and the Na Pali trailhead that compete for the few paking...More

We loved snorkeling here. We saw many fish and swam with turtles too. Great time. It is a bit tricky swimming over the rocks sometimes. This place may not be good for beginner snorkelling, unless a buddy can navigate.

Tunnels Beach is located near the end of the highway on the north side of Kauai. Parking is very limited so arrive early or be prepared to walk a long way to get to the beach. The water here is clear and the reefs provide...More

So I was going to give this beach a 4-star because unlike what many of the reviews said, this beach was NOT quiet. There were quite a few people there. However, there are some amazing fish swimming around there and I recommend snorkeling here. What...More

We saw at least 30 different species of very colorful fish. The reef is steps from the beach. Very easy snorkeling as long as you are aware of the currents.

As all beaches this one is stunning in its beauty, but other than a photo opportunity there is not much you can do with it, unless you are a pro surfer. Very high surf, vicious break, and lots of reef and rocks makes it good...More

We were lucky enough to be staying down the road so could walk here. What a workout though...the sand is soft and you kinda sink. If you drive in, get here early, as the parking lot fills up quickly. Another great time to go is...More
