We originally visited Anini in the 1980's It was then the best snorkeling we had ever had. The last visit in Feb. of '17 the beach was still wide open and uncrowded but the snorkeling was a real disappointment. The water was clear, but there...More

I drove a little further up the road past the beach park to find a less crowded area. The beaches here were very nice and the water was fairly calm. I saw several people snorkeling and children swimming in the water. There are some small...More

There is so much room at this beach you'll have no problem finding a spot. It's calm enough for kids to play with limited supervision and is shallow for a long way out from the water line. Great snorkeling, you can see turtles during winter...More

We had so much fun snorkeling here. We saw sea turtles and even found an octopus! It was so cool! Respect those beautiful creatures and don’t touch!

This is a good swimming spot even in November. Just be aware that there is still a strong current. We also watched some kite surfers.

Dropped by this beach while touring the north/east side of Kauai. Fairly calm waters and on the weekday that we were there, it was relatively quiet.

This beach is beautiful, seems to have calm waters compared to the rest of the island. Snorkeling would be nice when the weather permits it. Some of the reef seemed to be destroyed from abuse. Over all i would say this is one of the...More

I was expecting more. The sand is not very nice, and the ground is hard. The ocean was flat so that was good. The view from the ocean was ok, but I've been to much nicer beaches on Kauai. I suppose if all beaches had...More

I would consult a travel guide. We were at this beach in June and it was perfect.

Yes. This beach is safe to camp at. It is popular with the locals and has toilets, cold showers and running water available. You will be right on the beach at one of the best snorkeling locations on the island. Hope you... More
