We stopped here shortly on our way to Haleakalā National Park. I would have loved to stay longer and maybe even spend a whole day here at the beach. Notice: It seems that the restaurant and the restrooms are currently being renovated (Feb 10, 2018).

Small black sand beach with beautiful black rocks and green flora surrounding. The toilets and picnic area is currently closed and under construction. Nice spot to relax after hiking in Haleakala and eating at Huli Huli Chicken.

There are many beaches in the state of Hawaii, but this one has everything from the black sand to the flora. It is a bit underwhelming, but it's got all of Hawaii's best beach features in one spot.

My family and I visited Hamoa beach twice on our recent visit to Maui. I love a beach that has some waves to boogie board or body surf, where the waves don't crash right into the shore. Hamoa fit the bill perfectly. The water is...More

One of the highlights and hidden gems of Maui. Great water, great beach, perfect little spot! Just wish we were able to spend more time there.

We stayed 4 nights in Hana and swam at this beach every afternoon after other adventures in the morning. It's just a beautiful wide sandy beach with great swimming and boogie boarding. The scenery around the beach was lovely, and there was plenty of shade...More
