Relaxing beach on Road to Hana

After passing through Hana we just happen to see this beach and decided to pull over and stretch our legs. It turned out to be a fantastic beach, great views and fresh coconuts.

This was billed as the most beautiful beach in the Pacific. Is this true? I doubt it... But it is a nice smaller beach for an afternoon of sun and swimming.

His is a great, sandy beach with great swimming & a view of the big island. There are accommodations and free parking. Great stop after hiking the Pipiwai trail!

We loved this beach! There was no sudden drop into the water and so we walked quite a bit into the sea.. we were here for a long time, just basking in the waves. The beach also has bathing rooms and washrooms.

Okay, everyone has their idea of the perfect beach. Trust me, I've been to beaches from the Mexican Riviera to Bora Bora to Jamaica. I'm jaded when it comes to beaches, no doubt. And as far as Maui beaches go, well heck, I'm just back from a ten-day trip to introduce my husband to the beauty of the island, and... More

This is a gorgeous beach. If you are in Hana just for the day, then it is a long drive to get there. We found it to be worth it. The kids rode the waves and we were able to take in the scenery and enjoy the experience. We were there for two hours on our Hana trip all the... More

This was one of our favorite stops on our drive to (but past) Hana. This was a lovely beach with trees lining the sand creating some nice natural shade. The day we were there, it was nice swimming conditions.

Always stop here when doing RTH and beyond. Pristine beach that often has perfect waves for body surfing... and occasionally, perfect waves for danger. So use some caution and common sense. The left side of the beach is a little more protected (and calm) if that's more to your preference.

My husband and I visited Hamoa at about 8:30 in the morning on our anniversary and were delighted to be the only ones there! It was cloudy and the water was too rough for swimming but the beach was still gorgeous! We had the best time taking videos of all the cool crabs living in the sand and even constructing... More

this is my favorite beach of all time - pristine unpolluted natural, calming warm BUT can be rough intimidating, dangerous and deadly. There are no lifeguards!! Know that you are on your own when swimming here - the day we went was for shells but the water was too rough for me. I saw quite a few swimmers that looked... More
