This was easy hike off highway 30.....you will see water sprayed high in the air through blowhole ( kind of reminded me if Old Faithful in Yellowstone). Looks like water park but don't get too close, there's sign of warning danger. Definitely worth the visit...More

Check the weather, the blowhole is best with high surf on the North Shore. The closer you get the better it looks.

Took the drive out here to see the blowhole. Didn’t walk down close as we took signs seriously. Was fun to watch as the tide was perfect. Bring good hiking shoes. Wouldn’t recommend this walk for anyone with balance issues.

A beautiful drive with viewpoints to stop on the way back as they are on the right side of the road heading back south. Please pay attention to the warnings of the dangers of the blow hole and the wet area of rocks. Viewing it...More

This is a must see on your trip to Maui. Take the highway north past Lahaina and drive around the top of the island to a pull off from highway marked by a food stall ! . Take good walking shoes for the best hiking...More

I'm so glad we went here. This is close to our resort at Kaanapali. Around 30min. It is between mile marker 38 and 39. You will see the first parking lot after marker 38 but drive a little bit more to the next gravel lot...More

In high surf, this place is really something! Look for the pullouts on the side of the road, further down the road than some guide books say (not right at the USCG light, but beyond). If you park in the right spot, it's a fairly...More

I would suggest wearing comfortable shoes if you plan on hiking down closer to the blowhole. But great views if you stay up the hill too! Lots of people were very close and more of a risk taker then I am! There is a warning...More

We visited on a very windy day when the waves were high. This type of weather really forces the water into the lava tube that leads to the blow hole. We saw the blow hole spot with great height and noise many times. If the...More

This is a impactful view, however there are NO signs that this is the actual spot. Be aware that is a pull off at the side of the road, note that if the swells are not active and the water is calm it may NOT spout...More

My husband and I went mid-day and it was great views and a fun experience! It can get very windy on the hike--would recommend going on a less windy summer day. Don't go if it has just rained--trail will be muddy and... More

Yes. You can walk a short distance from your car and see the blowhole. Regardless put your toddler in closed toe shoes so he/she doesn't hurt his/her feet on the lava rock.
