The Nu'uanu Pali lookout provides a breathtaking view of south Oahu. It captures the urban-ness and greenness of the islands and blue-ness of the oceans beyond in a perfect blend and is indeed a sight to see. There is paid parking at the lookout and from what I read online, it seems that this is enforced. The drive up to the lookout, especially from the North Shore side, is quite scenic. Great place to stop for incredible views of the island, the mountains on the forest below. You will need to pay a small fee for parking. Keep in mind it is very windy at this lookout but worth it. This is a must stop.

We visited this lookout during our Circle Island Tour with Oahu Nature Tours. This viewpoint overlooks the Oahu coastline areas of Kaneohe and Kailua, and Mokolii/ Chinaman’s Hat. This lookout is one of Oahus best scenic locations so expect great views, and the area is extremely windy. The Pali Lookout is also of historical significance as in 1795, King Kamehameha won the struggle that finally united Oahu under his rule and these cliffs claimed many soldiers’ lives in the battle.…
