A friend and I were in Alton for a few days and decided to book this tour based on the positive reviews. I was so happy and appreciative that the owner was able to give us a tour on only a days notice because we had experienced some other tour operators that had very limited tour schedules. The grounds of... More

I went only to the tour and I wish I had the time to stay in that B&B. This mansion is one of the finest restored houses I've ever been at and certainly worth a visit. All the ground floor has been restored to the state it used to be in the turn of the century and the furniture is... More

I went with family (all adults) on this tour and we all really enjoyed it. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable on the history of the house, Alton, and overall American history. The rooms in the house were beautifully and realistically decorated with lots of interesting pieces and stories. If you enjoy touring old houses or learning about American history... More

My wife and I stayed at this magnificent B&B in November and had one of the best experiences of our life. The service is quite extraordinary as well as the mansion itself. I could sit here and gush over all the wonderful things about the mansion, staff and food but I honestly couldn't write the review as eloquent as it... More

My wife and I stayed their the night after we were married. I loved it there and will recommend it to my family and friends. Loved the jaquzzi, breakfast in bed, and the way the building was set up.

My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon and first wedding anniversary at the Beall Mansion, so we recently returned for a tour on our tenth anniversary. Co-innkeeper Jim Belote was our guide, and we thoroughly enjoyed his retelling of the mansion's history and artifacts, and the role its family played in the development of Alton and nearby towns. Our tour... More

The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the town of Alton and the previous owners of the Beale mansion. The history of the mansion and the town was enlightening!! I recommend to anyone who visits the city of Alton to go on this tour. The tour guide was also humorous.

We decided to take this tour while on a Home away from Home weekend in Alton. we were pleasantly surprised to see all of the early 20th century furnishings and art pieces. The interior appears as if frozen in 1910. Beautiful...stunning...a must see if you're visiting the Alton area. Here's the bonus....it is also a B&B.

My sister and I toured the Beall Mansion last Friday and had a very enjoyable time. Jim gave us a lot of history on the home and the Alton area. The home is lovely! We would highly recommend the tour, or a stay at the bed and breakfast.

Great history on not only the sight but local and even touched a little on early American business. Beautiful grounds and home, hoping to plan a trip back for fast approaching anniversary!
