It was under reparation so I only saw it from outside, so it was pity. Could be really nice if it was without rack? and behind fence.

This certainly splendid mosque is currently under restoration by the Turkish (!) government and there is scaffolding anywhere around. The interior is closed for the restauration work entirely.

The building was built during the Ottoman's era! The architecture is so beautiful! It was on renovation the last time I tried to visit which is a pretty good thing as it's definitely a priceless treasure Algeria should keep & maintain!

Even if it is closed for Renovation, but you can have a great vue from outside. A unique architecture. Unfortunatly, its location is quite in a popular market.

The Ketchaoua Mosque is closed for renovations when I visited in April 2014. No indication as to when it will reopen. It was fenced in and had scaffolding around it.

I have travelled throughout the Muslim world but never seen a mosque like this. It's history and architecture is quite unique and quite stunning. Definitely worth seeing, be careful though, the local area is a foreboding.
