The valley alongside the Ourika river offers some nice sightseeing opportunities and is a nice break from the crowds of Marrakesh , There are villages along the rivers offering some cultural immersion or where meals can be taken . In Ouzoud , hiking to the top of the Waterfalls is quite popular and in fact there are numerous hiking paths... More

In Ourika Valley you have the possibility to hike in the mountains. The common hike lasts about 2 hours, and it is best to have a guide. Be sure to agree on the the price for the guide before you start the hike (around 20 DH per person in a group, more if it is a small group). Some parts... More

We booked our trip via our hotel, and it was recommended as a very pleasant hike through a lush valley. What we got instead was something far more dangerous, and far less enjoyable. We started off in really good spirits. Our driver seemed nice and the vehicle was fit for purpose. An hour into our journey however, and we realised... More

We took a private car from Marrakesh, lunch before we walked and off for a good few hours with a local guide, Our guide Jamal was great - we went to the falls which were really popular with loads of people around so we went on to the next falls, and the next - the walking gets gradually harder. We... More

It is about 75km far from Marrakech and easy to go. It takes about 1hour30min. Ways are good and easy to find the direction. There are nice terrace coffee shops and good tajhin houses on the way.

Amazing vies but need proper walking shoes and clothing as there are some steep climbs and quite rocky. We want in the off-season (December) so much quieter [thank god] though still relatively busy. If you have young ones then I suggest Ouzoud waterfall, slightly further (3 hours from Marrekech) but a more gentle walk and the waterfall is equally as... More

We walked up with a local guide to the waterfalls. It was quite rocky and there was lots of climbing. Secure shoes are a must as there are no flat surfaces. The party I went with are relatively fit and we felt out of breath for most of it - I'm sure you could take it at a slower pace... More

You may have read about this place as a tourist trap. This is without doubt one of them, so be prepared. But if this is your first time here you may want to rent a car and do the trip on your own. If you are used to nice big waterfalls do not go there. And if you are not... More

I had my hiking in the rocky mountains in extreme weather condition but I loved it. Amazing view, fresh air and incredible experience that a must to do. Not far from Marrakesh, many tour agencies offer daily trip there, including visiting a berber family etc.
