This spacious square is a kind of a landmark of modern Casablanca, the Square of Mohammed V is an open plaza with fountains and palm trees with official government buildings (many of them from the 20s, most of them with Hispanic-Muslim architecture and Art Deco...More

It was super hot when I was here in late September. I was grateful for the open air expansive breeze that swept across this square. I wish that Ihad known to get over to the other side of the Mosque: to the Corniche.

There's nothing to see or do at this place, just a noisy and dirty square. There's only pigeons and men dressed in traditionnal clothing and asking for money to take their picture.

I was a little underwhelmed with this landmark I suspect it's because of the construction work going on. Best spend your time getting lost in the medina.

Maybe this is the most important and beautiful square in Casablanca. But it is an average square with fountain and some official buildings.
