The Fez medina is awesome. Definitely take a guide on your first venture in because it is soooo easy to get lost. Even with google maps you will get lost because all thr streets/paths don't show up and the gps can't track you accurately enough...More

Fez's Medina was our favourite one in Morocco; it's full of colour, culture and character. You'll need a guide to navigate through the streets because you'll be lost without one! Although we bought 2 pouffes from Chouara Tannery a month ago and it still smells...More

We were with a tour group as this place is a complete maze and you will get lost without a guide. The place is amazing with narrow jam packed with people and then add the donkeys. 9000 alleys and 45,000 dead ends but with the...More

You definitely need either a guide or GPS to find your way out of the medina. About 350,000 people live there, and there are 10,000 "streets". Lots of food, clothing and crafts for sale.

Be prepared to be overwhelmed, especially if this is your first medina in Morocco. This truly is a maze of narrow alleys & as the building are at least a few stories high, it's hard to get your bearings. A street map doesn't assist much...More

Although it's vast, and you can get lost, it's fascinating, endlessly tempting, and really unintimidating, There's always someone to point you the way, or even take you there for a few coppers. Our official tour was not good value, but if you haven't got long...More

The Medina is beautiful and everyone visiting Fez should spend a maximum of his time visiting this place.

If you're short on time (like days short on time, because without a guide, I'm pretty sure we would still be there), then get a guide. For sure. What an incredible city. The people were so friendly and welcoming. I love that there are no...More

You must visit the medina of Fes and be prepared to live a different but amazing experience. Groceries Markets and shops are unique but it is really easy to get lost, so try to do it slowly and ask for advice inside shops

This is a rug shop in Fez medina. It can be tricky to find this place in the maze of the medina, so contact him at Hamidou.shop on gmail.
