We had a wonderful 3-day trip starting from Agafay desert to the Atlas Mountains and Merzouga and back to Marrakesh. We were fascinated by the different landscapes, friendly people we met on our journey and Abdelah explaining to us the local culture and history of the Berbers! Thank you very much Abdelah for providing such an authentic perspective on the Moroccan culture!

The trip we took was amazing. I've traveled to so many places with work and for pleasure of the years but this experience was special. Starting in Fez heading through the mountains and down the Casablanca. Locals took everywhere, took care of us and showed us all the amazing culture, food and people of Morocco. We had a personalized adventure that included amazing experiences that could not be had with the run of the mill tour/travel group. More than once our small group of 3 travelers mentioned we were glad we "aren't on that bus with 40 of our closest friends" but rather with an intimate group enjoying the tour we created with the guidance of an amazing tour guide. Cooking class, tea with Berbers, curated shopping opportunities and 'REAL" experiences in the mountains-by passing tourist traps-made for life time memories. Ismail was amazing, attentive, kind, and knowledgable. I look forward to going back!! And even though I had a rocky start due to Air France issues-Sahara Atlas Tours rose to the challenge and took care of me-making sure I safely joined the group. Thank you, I can't wait to return.

We had two different tours. The first one (Fes - Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes) had a communication shortcoming between the agency and the driver, that luckily did not impact much our second day. The second one lasted a few days, since we did Fes - Sahara Desert - Dades Gorges (including Valley of the roses) - Aït Ben Haddou - Marrakech. We were lucky to have Abdullah as our guide because he made the travel so much more interesting. We spoke about many topics and the time just flew by. If you have the choice, I would encourage you to ask for him in your tour.

All the hotels were magnificent. The attention was top. We met Ismael in Chez Pierre, he was very candid and made us feel super welcome. The food there is amazing! Definitely it’s worth staying more than one night.

I already recommended Sahara Atlas tours to my family, and if me and my wife would go back to Morocco, we would definitely book it again.

In November, 2021, my husband and I toured Morocco and enjoyed it so much I returned in November, 2022. This time I was with two other females, all of us 55+.

Ismail from Sahara Atlas tours helped organize our trip. He was easy to work with, responded promptly to requests and/or comments, and helped us organize a personalized tour.

We spent 3 nights in Fes, one night in Imilchil, 3 nights in Dades Valley, 2 nights in Marrakech, and one night in Essaouira. Our final night was in Casablanca to visit the mosque and be near the airport for an early morning flight. As I reflect back on our itinerary, I do not think there is anything I would change. Ismail helped us organize a tour that was designed for our interests and consistent with our desire to avoid some of the tourist stops.

Early in the planning process, Ismail asked about the level of accommodations we desired, thus we were able to balance costs and comfort. We chose mid-range accommodations and were delighted with them.

There were 3 of us “older” women traveling in a very comfortable SUV. This made it possible to visit places we would not have been able to access in a larger vehicle.

I think the main reason we had such a successful trip was that we had a very, very knowledgeable guide who understood and responded positively to our needs and interests.

We were concerned about the cost of a private, personalized tour when compared to a group tour. We found the price to be very competitive, and in some cases, less than group tours.

Yes, I plan to return to Morocco and yes, I will use Sahara Atlas Tours.

We’ve been home for a month and I am ready to book another trip to Morocco with Sahara Atlas Tours! Everything about the trip — the itinerary, the lodging, the guides, the food, the opportunities to experience the “real” Morocco — was top notch. Sahara Atlas was extremely easy to work with and committed to customize our tour to match our interests and travel goals. The three of us (55+ females) decided against the more cookie cutter large group “organized tours approach” and were
pleasantly surprised when the quote from Sahara Atlas for a highly customized tour for just the three of us was highly competitive. As a result, we enjoyed 12 days and 11 nights focused on our special interests — textiles, photography, local culture. Our driver and guide, Ismail, was extremely sensitive to our needs and interests; his flexibility, knowledge, and connections everywhere we went afforded us experiences one could never have on a bus tour with a large group (going off road in the High Atlas, a picnic under olive trees to break up a long drive, visiting in a cave with a multi-generational nomad family, learning to make couscous in a family home and sharing the meal with them once it was done — just to name a few). When we did travel a main highway we saw tour buses — and were thankful not to be on them because we knew they weren’t having the same experiences. I highly recommend Sahara Atlas Tours if you are interested in seeing the “real” Morocco.

We had an amazing experience with Sahara Atlas. From the moment we were met at the airport until we were dropped off a week later, we felt taken care of and welcomed. Our driver Abdelleh was amazing and full of excellent advice and food recommendations. We were there for our honeymoon and we were so happy we spent it with Abdelleh and the rest of the Sahara Atlas Tours crew.

We contacted Sahara Tours from the US to coordinate our 10 day tour across several cities in Morocco. From day one, the response, the transparency and professionalism to put together the whole program was outstanding.

The service even went to the next level when we arrived and started to move around with our dedicated tour guide. It is not easy to be on your own in a new country with a very different culture, but Sahara Tours, Ismail and Zakaria made a big difference.

I will definitely recommend them with no hesitation as they will make your experience become a lifetime memory.

Big thanks to this great group of people!

The whole trip was amazing and very well planned. We want to thank Mohamed our driver that was excellent, very nice and very aware of the details (restaurants, sites and clean bathrooms to go). He is an excellent driver and very punctual. The riads and camps where we stayed were taken from a movie, really nice and typical Morocco. We really enjoyed the trip. The organization and coordination by Sahara Atlas Tours was great! TThank you Ismail for everything. Chez Pierre in Dades Valley is lovely to stay more than one night (we stayed two).

Our 13 days in Morocco with our driver Abdullah was unforgettable. During the 1,600 kms journey, Abdullah kept us utterly engaged with animated conversations about Moroccan culture and history and we learned about the fascinating stories behind every place we visited.
And when asked, he filled the 4x4 with hypnotic Berber and Gnawa music and the hours of driving floated by quickly and became one of the feature experiences on the tour. Sometimes a tour can only be as good as the driver/guide and along with hitting the best food and coffee stops on the road, we were treated to his wonderful sense of humor and friendly persona. He is a pro and a joy to be with and gets our highest recommendation.

We set off from Marrakech on a 3-day tour. We have to thank our driver-guide Abdelah who made the trip enjoyable and made sure that we were comfortable at all times and knew all the secret spots. Chez Pierre at Dades Gorge where we slept the first night was incredible, does deserve a longer stay. And second night at Erg Chebbi enjoying the dunes of the sahara.
