Roaming Camels created an exceptional experience

Thanks to Roaming Camels our trip to Morocco was magical. Kathi helped us plan the trip and she/Mustapha were meticulous in understanding our needs. Having our own guide (Redouan) and driver (Bashir) helped us see varied locations with unique experiences in a compressed time frame. Plus, Redouan and Bashir were a lot of fun! The riad accomodations were absolutely spectacular—lots of marble and fine details. We also had local expert guides in various places who gave us deep and rich insights. You can read about sights in a guidebook, but we had some very special opportunities--tea with a Bedouin woman in her handcrafted/temporary home, dinner with a Fes family, and tea with Redouan’s parents. Our trip in the desert was unlike anything I’ve experienced. In the midst of all the awe-inspiring beauty we laughed and danced with Berber drummers.

When I was looking at Roaming Camels reviews, I could not believe that any tour company could be that good. But they are! Their values for creating an exceptional experience and making guests feel like family were evident every step of the way. Thank you to Kathi, Mustapha, Redouan and Bashir as well as their team members and all the guides for giving us a memorable taste of Morocco. Shukran!

Terrific hiking adventure

I enjoyed 5 days of hiking with my two 30+ sons in November, 2023. Terrific! A literal and figurative walk through Morocco and Berber culture. Mustapha, our guide, was attentive, engaging, knowledgeable and occasionally very funny. He’s proud of his heritage and happy to teach a ton about it. Really great experience highlighted for me by sharing it with my adult sons. I found this an excellent ‘don’t miss it’ experience for anyone fit enough - and curious enough - to do it.

My friend and I got five extra days in Morocco unexpectedly because our plane was cancelled and we had to travel there early. Fortunately we were paired with Bachir Maadani, which was our greatest good fortune. From the minute he met us at the airport until he dropped us off at the end, he was a joy to travel with and learn from. He was knowledgeable, flexible, kind, patient and fun. There was not one thing wrong with anything. In fact we miss him still. I plan to recommend him to anyone who asks for advice. You have a treasure in Bachir.

Exploring Morocco with old Friends and making New Friends

Just visited Morocco with friends. Roaming Camels worked with us to customize our trip. From being picked up at the airport through the last day our driver Bishar and guide Ridouan treated us like family! They listened to us and provided everything we needed or wanted. It didn't feel like being on a tour but more like traveling with friends who were locals. I highly recommend Roaming Camels and believe that Bishar and Ridouan are the BEST!

The very BEST!!! I highly recommend Roaming Camels if you are looking to visit Morocco. They put together a luxury personalized trip for our best friends and us. We were celebrating our birthdays and we were welcomed with beautiful birthday roses upon arrival. They know the very best places to go to and get the best Moroccan experience. Whatever you want, they make it happen. The best drivers and guides! We can’t wait to go back and see more of Morocco. We will use them for all future Morocco travel trips.

Once-in-a-lifetime trip and guide!

This was the once-in-a-life-time vacation to a place I never knew I wanted to visit! Really! Mustapha made sure that every thing was still safe and not a burden on the locals after that terrible earthquake. We did see evidence of the quake but never felt concerned for our safety or like we were an intrusion for the local people. Mustapha and driver were all I could have asked for. They managed a wonderful trip and dealt quickly and professionally with every little hiccup. Mustapha was a wealth of knowledge on Morocco and was happy to answer any and all of our questions. And there were plenty! 🙂 He asked the group’s opinions on plans and managed our requests pretty flawlessly, even when it required him to change to the plan mid-day. He also went above and beyond to help return my lost luggage to me, mid-trip!!! The accommodations were beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Each place was unique and had it’s own motif but it was all thoroughly Moroccan. We got to do so many awesome activities during the trip and got to experience how the locals live in this gorgeous country. The people were pleasant and very appreciative when we tried to connect with them. I would recommend using this company and guide to anyone wanting to have an authentic experience in Morocco. I really don’t think I could have had a better experience than I did on this trip. Truly incredible.

Mustapha was a great tour guide. He is attentive and knowledgeable. His focus on the client is exceptional. He adds a cultural sensitivity you may not see with other tours. Could not ask for more from him. Highly recommended!

Experience of a lifetime and then some

My trip to Morocco was all that I hoped for and then some, thanks to Mustapha and Roaming Camels! His passion for the diverse landscapes and culture of his country shone as he shared his vast knowledge throughout the 10-day tour. He was always on top of every detail and quick to adjust the schedule depending on our needs so that our time there was perfect. When I made a special request at the beginning of the tour to take a plaster carving workshop in Fes, he worked with the artisan to make it happen. Mustapha was also quick to pick up on everyone's interests (mine being environmental sustainability) and worked that into the things he pointed out along the way. On top of all of that, he has a great sense of humor. Though I was with friends, I felt like I had my own personal guide.

If you are planning a trip to Morocco, you can't go wrong with Roaming Camels and Mustapha!
