Youssef Kharroubi was the perfect guide for our family! Upon meeting him, it is quickly apparent Youssef is highly educated, extremely articulate, and well read. While doing our walking tour, Youssef brought to life the historical context of what we were seeing. He patiently answered our questions and gave us a viewpoint of the Medina we would not have had otherwise.
One of our favorite experiences with Youssef was seeing the community through his eyes. The warm, friendly greetings with multiple local people he knew during our tour was special to witness. Youssef helped us see the community connections within the Medina and not just as foreign tourists wandering around on our own.
I tend to walk slow and take everything in and Youssef was gracious to meet our family right where we were at, and not push any timeline or agenda. It was our tour time to gain from his wisdom.
I wish we had more days in Marrakech to go on another tour with Youssef but we plan to return!

I had followed Youssef online before our trip. So many people recommended him as a tour guide. I believe it's crucial to take a professional walking tour when in Marrakech because the Medina can be overwhelming in so many ways! My wife and I were lucky to get Youssef to ourselves - just the three of us! He was probably the best tour guide of my life! His knowledge of not only Marrakech but of Morocco itself was extensive and he really put us at ease on the hectic streets and alleys where it can be sensory overload for new comers to the city. I guarantee you if you hire this amazing guide that you will see things most tourists would just walk by without knowing what was just beyond the door. There are secret amazing things to see and he knows where they are. Don't even think about it - hire him. Amazing!

Where do i start!? Youssef is more than wonderful. He is very knowledgeable and have a warm caring vibe around him and while on tour you can see that the locals know and respect him. Throughout the tour he effortlessly led me through the labyrinthine narrow streets of the Medina. And as a solo female traveler walking in narrow alley can bring anxiety but not with Youssef. He guided and looked after me the whole tour and making sure i feel safe and alright. Such a great storyteller too and through his stories you can really tell how much he love to be a Moroccan. Highly highly recommend to book his tour (and especially if your travelling solo ❤️)

One of the best tours we had , Youssef is quite knowledgable and he has very good English. He takes you where the locals do business and explain everything, this way you will understand well Marrakech culture and its roots. He was always available for any questions and gave us plenty time to roam around. You feel no rush. You will notice that Youssef is very well known on Marrakech as everyone greets him. He also helps those in needs , so basically you can understand what a gentleman he is. If you go to Marrakech , Youssef is a must as you will not enjoy the city without the information he gives you. Will send friends and family to use his services.

We met with our guide Hassan and there were 3 of us on this tour. We had 3 hours to ask what we wanted whilst he took us to the 3 areas on the tour which also included walking through the Jewish quarter where we bought some spices. He was very informative throughout the whole tour and very passionate about the architecture and history around Marrakesh. It also helped us get our bearings a little so worth doing at start of your trip. He even walked us to front of queue for the Bahia palace so we didn’t have to wait. Highly recommend. Thanks Hassan !!

We booked Yousef thorough air bnb very easily the day before. We wanted to experience the souks with guide to help us get our bearings and pick up some hints and tips when navigating the souks. Yousef was excellent and very knowledgeable. His English was very good! He was very friendly and brought us mint tea and showed us to community ovens where we sampled some of the bread. Thank you, Yousef! Would highly recommend booking a tour.

Youssef is a fantastic tour guide. I would not recommend anyone in Marrakech except for him. He knows the ins and outs of the city and took me to the best places to shop, away from the touristy areas. The private tour gave me an opportunity to fall in love with the city. I am also impressed with Youssef's passion and kindness. He is well loved by the many people we came across the street.

I do not know whether this Youssef is good or not. We booked him for 2 tours Essaouira and Ouika Valley and airport transfer. He confirmed our bookings one week before we left for our holiday but never turned up nor have the courtesy to inform us. When we managed to call him with the help of the hotel, he said he was very busy and have to cancel our bookings that morning!

We e-mailed Youssef multiple times and booked our tour four weeks in advance. The day of the tour, he did not show up at our riad. Not knowing his number, we asked to check e-mail at the riad. There was an e-mail from Youssef sent the night before asking us to confirm. Since we didn't confirm, he didn't show up. He sent an apology e-mail saying he waited "so long" for our reply that he booked another tour. He sent the e-mail 16 hours before the morning tour! We were on vacation and Marrakech does not have wifi in that many places, how were we supposed respond in such a short time frame? Youssef had the name of the riad we were staying, if he was so concerned, why didn't he call? Of course, he was more than happy to reschedule with us a couple days later.
Terribly irresponsible behavior. Wasting much of our time before and after the trip. There are plenty of tour guides in the area. You can find a good one for less money through your riad or hotel.

Je recherche un guide bienveillant et expert en artisanat..
Je suis styliste depuis 8 ans et je voyage avec mon compagnon, pour montrer aux internautes, le savoir-faire des villes ou pays que nous parcourons.
Je souhaiterai mettre en avant l’artisanat autour de la mode (broderie, tissage, cuir...) à Marrakech et ses environs. Je suis déjà venue et j'ai eu un vrai coup de cœur pour ce lieu.
