We had an exciting, thoroughly enjoyable 4 days as a family in the High Atlas Mountains and Marrakesh. Highlights include the tent lunch/camel ride the Desert D'Agafay, our motorcycle side car ride thru old and new Marrakech, our wandering through the nooks and crannies of the market in the old medina, and our learning to cook tagine at La Maison Arabe. Our guide Youness was top notch. He was friendly, informative, and seemed to know everyone every where we went which allowed for ease of transit and some perks from a variety of shopkeepers. He was also flexible, as we sometimes changed our itinerary on the fly. In his own words, this was all about our experience, and he certainly helped make it informative and fun. A wonderful 4 days.

We did the free walking tour with Youness who was great. Really knowledgeable and shared lots of info on both the history of Marrakesh but also present day and gave some great restaurant recommendations. He was also really attentive when one of the ladies in the group wasn’t feeling well.

I’ve never done a free walking tour like this - truly incredible! My guide, Mounir, could not have been any better. He was attentive, funny, and gave us an experience to remember. He showed us some really special places all over the Medina, and I genuinely don’t believe I’ve ever enjoyed a tour more.
I would advise that you make sure you don’t have anything booked for afterwards, because Mounir is available as long as you are and there’s so much to see!

The tour was great! Jonas was excellent showing us all the places worth seeing in Marrakech. Also he gave us very useful information regarding history, culture, food, architecture and where to eat or go afterwards. I completely recommend the experience!

We did the free walking tour with Kamal. Definitely a great introduction to the Medina and the souks. The guide was a really nice guy and he gave us a lot of information. He also helped arranged a very authentic lunch in the souk after the tour at a little tangia stall. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

After reading the amazing reviews, we were excited to go on our trip to paradise valley with Morkosh Tours. However, you can only tell how good a company is when an emergency happens. Here's our story:
The driver arrived on time to pick us up from our hotel in Marrakech and we headed out to paradise valley. Once we arrived, we were told that we were going to take a short 10 minute walk to reach the pools. We reached the first pool only to be told that it's not clean and that we should head to the next one. The 10 minute walk turned into a 45 minute hike over steep & slippery rocks (we were wearing flipflops because Younis the owner, who we booked with neglected to tell us that we needed proper shoes). Hussein (the valley guide) mislead us into thinking that the pool is close by & ended up taking us onto a very dangerous hike, giving me a shoulder and neck injury from climbing up and down rocks and my friend slipped over one of the rocks injuring her back and was unable to walk. Now that we were there, Hussein then informed us that the only way back was the same way we came in, even though along the way he insisted that there was an easier way out. In his opinion the easier way was climbing over a cliff using a rope. With both our injuries, my friend and I had to take the same dangerous route back because there was no other way.
After another 45 minute hike, we finally reached our driver and once we asked him to contact the owner and take us back to the hotel or hospital, because of our injuries & that this was not what we agreed on, he started getting really aggressive and rude and saying that it's our fault for listening to the guide (whom they provided us with). Once we got to the car the driver said that the partner Omar is refusing to take our call and that they want the rest of their money before taking us back to a hospital or our hotel in Marrakech. To top this off the driver changed his clothes while driving us back, which was very creepy, inappropriate & unprofessional.
I've never dealt with such inconsiderate rude people.

We are really sorry to hear about your experience with us!!! You've been warned that Paradise valley during this time of the year ( Late summer) has less water on the pools. It didn't rain and it's been very hot for over 5 months. I (Youness) suggested you to do the Ourika valley instead, but Paradise valley was your choice. I've been in communication with you through phone calls and I suggested you to get Agadir or Essaouira beach. The driver/guide is already fired, we also paid your first aid medicines and hospital cost for your minor ankle injury, however you had a discount on the payment. I've been calling you and trying to make sure that everything gone right even after the day trip, even offered to get you another checking at the hospital but you didn't want.
That's really shame!!! we didn't want that your experience turn on that way. We hope see you again and get you a comfortable tour around the country.

He and his sidekick, Redwan, are good, reliable and cheap, and very flexible/accommodating. Use him for airport transfers, day tour, and whatever,if you can......... we did and were happy. Good service. We didnt try his cooking nor hear his drums nor rode his camels. Maybe next time. Maybe we will stay in a tent.

Our family of my husband, myself and our four children aged 21, 14, 11 & 9 all had a wonderful time on a variety of excursions with Youness during our week in Marrakech.
Before we even arrived, Youness helped us to arrange a perfect itinerary that gave us an opportunity to experience the very best the area had to offer. All of his e-mails were answered quickly and in such a way that we really felt confident at placing our trust in him for our trip.
Youness was absolutely fantastic. At the very start of our trip, he was waiting for us at the airport to take us to our hotel and greeted us with a kind smile and a warm welcome despite our flight arriving over two hours late.
The schedule of trips was perfect and his knowledge of the area is second to none. We had a chance to experience everything from snowball fights in the Atlas mountains to camel riding in the Sahara. His help at the Berber market was fantastic as language could very well have presented a problem but with his help, the children experienced an opportunity to participant in a very important part of Berber life.
Youness was always willing to share suggestions and relay information during our trips which made the whole experience an even more memorable one. When we needed an extra helping hand (such as requiring an extra adult to help the children with the quadbiking) he would always pitch in and for us, it just made him feel a part of our family for the week.
Everyone was sad to leave Morocco and especially Youness and we are already planning our next adventure with Morkosh.
Youness' knowledge is second to none and his rates were the best out of all the companies we contacted. It is very evident that he loves his work and this is apparent in everything that he does. I would highly recommend Youness to anyone who is wishing to explore this wonderful country.

My boyfriend and I went on a 3 day tour with Morkosh...it was a great experience visiting areas slightly off the normal tourist route and learning about the country. We were driven around by Youness and Tariq who are both super friendly and welcoming guys - Youness speaks perfect English and is very knowledgeable about the country. Both very helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Would recommend to anyone wanting to see the real Morocco, although might be worth checking how far you will be driving on your tour as we were travelling a bit longer than we had originally expected! Would use Morkosh tours again without hesitation.

My daughter and I booked several transfers and a private tour with Morkosh. We made all the arrangements by mail with Youness and everything was exactly as promised. Abdullah was our driver during the three day trip we made to the Atlas mountains and the desert. He is an excellent driver who took real good care of us and we felt safe all the time. It was great to travel through a part of beautiful Morocco, just sit back and relax, watch the ever changing scenery, visit interesting places and enjoy yourself. Abdullah stopped where ever we wanted, including a very nice local market and not once took us to a touristic shop, carpet factory or horrible shopping place as many guides often do. We can recommend Morkosh for their reasonable prices, quick responses to emails, nice itineraries and the fact that they do what they promise.

February is such a cold month especially at evenings in the Sahara desert. I would recommend to take a 3 Day tour to Merzouga and stay at Kasbah Hotel in front of the huge sand dunes instead.

Thanks for your inquiry, unfortunately we don't organize day trips to Chefchaouen starting from Tangier. We are based in Marrakesh which is 7 hours drive far from Tangier but we provide tours including Chefchaouen and Tangier for more days.
