It has to be one of the must see places in the world. Astonishing! I found it difficult to leave. Stunningly beautiful, great, great history and then the student accommodation gives a sense of plain and hopefully kind devotion (or perhaps duty/discipline (?)) either way...More

Fantastic spot to soak in the history of Marrakech. Great place to take photos and see beautiful tile and plaster.

The place is not easy to find at all, due to the total lack of decent signage, which Marrakech really needs to improve. But this place costs MAD 20 and is really interesting or could be if they charged MAD 50 and then put the...More

Really beautiful. So quiet and unique. We had a great time exploring the hidden rooms marveling at the architecture. Also a nice way to take a break from the hectic streets of Marrakech.

The problem for us was finding this place having got hopelessly lost we ended up getting a taxi and then being instructed to follow two french men from the taxi in front of us, which i must admit was quite an adventure in itself. However...More

This was part of our half day Medina tour with a guide arranged by the Riad. Great architecture and intricate workmanship for the structure. Spartan living accomodation for the students of this madrasa during its operational days. Interesting history; great for photos.

Nice place to visit and to immerse in the Moroccan culture. You can find nice local architecture, although one of the busiest places with tourists. Anyway, a must in this city!

I was disappointed by the Madrasa and quite simply it didn't do justice in person to the photos I had seen of it online. There was no water in the reflecting pool and other than the beautiful symmetrical tile work there wasn't much more to...More

The Ben Youssef Madrasa was my favorite site I visited while in Marrakesh. The architecture is stunning and intricate, absolutely beautiful. The best part is you are free to wander around on your own, take your time, and enjoy the madrasa as you please. It...More

Depends how young they are, it's architecture, so their interest might wander if you stay too long. Nothing inappropriate inside and well worth the visit.
