Morocco was the second leg of my trip from Spain.Taking off a few days to venture off to Marrakesh to celebrate my birthday was the highlight of my Spain and Morocco Trip. Moroccan people, the food, and culture are one of kind. Jemmaa el-Fnaa is...More

Truly bitter experience. Rude salesmen who push and swear when you refuse to buy their overpriced goods. Visiting this market has put me off ever going to marrakech again..

The square has a large assortment of people and things to see. There were a group of men with monkeys who want you to take a picture with one of their monkeys on your shoulder. They will say "no problem" when you ask how much...More

Really nice place but the people they are trying to sell you something are so aggressive and the price always depends of where are you from and how rich you look like. Still a beautiful Arabic place but take a breath and go inside this...More

Great main square! So vibrant and lively in the evenings. You can try Moroccan street food, listen to local music or just dive into this madness. During daytime you can watch snake charmers or have fun with monkeys, drink freshly squeezed juice.

Had a chance to stroll around with children, the place is busy, and you can buy so many souvenirs, however be very careful, the merchants almost every single one of them are out there to make a quick buck on the unsuspecting tourists.

The massive square is always a hub of locals and tourists, with endless stalls of food, souvenirs and photo ops. Sundays are much quieter when most of the traders stay away, but there's still a vibe to experience.

If you want an authentic Moroccan experience I hope this isn't it. Full of chancers trying to part you from your cash. Might have been great when the hippies first came here in the 60s, but not so good now.

Djemma El Fnaa is the heart of the Medina-as are the Souks-you are lucky, you’ll see both at the same time.
