Only open on Fridays and Sundays, but check before you go. Agdal is a big agricultural estate just outside the city of Marrakech, where palm trees and fruit trees are cultivated. In the center of the estate is a waterbasin with many carp fish. Locals take their children there to feed the fish. Perhaps nothing special for an average tourist,... More

We like stroll in parks and gardens and decided to visit the Jardins De L'Agdal .We walked from the Royal Palace but had to ask a number of times for the right gate/BAB to go through to walk to the Jardins as the Bab that was on the map was not the right one .A local( unofficial guide) told us... The guide books gave no warning that this was a complete dead loss. Walking a fair way, past a sign that said "if necessary use the toilet" we asked where the toilets were-"there aren't any" we were told! At the end of the very long walk there was a dirty lake with carp vying for bread thrown by locals. Foreigners... More

If you are visiting Marrakech this should not be a high priority for a visit. Well frequented by locals it's almost like a local park. A lot of people go for the many carp but it's not a must visit bearing in mind other places in Marrakech.

If you are thinking of doing this would recommend 2 things 1. Check it is open before u go 2. Don't go it's not worth the effort. So, we walked in the sweltering heat for the good part of an hour & found it. Pretty rubbish - nothing like the guide book described Basically a long trek to the entrance... More

As much attraction as the souks of Jema Fena may have to the newly arrived tourist, there are times when you may need to escape the hustle and bustle and just wind down in a peaceful and serene environment. Jardin D'Agdal offers just that and is an excellent experience for anyone interested in this region's nature and agriculture. The garden... More

This garden does have some character just as fields of olive trees and some open spaces, and you see Moroccan families walking around and enjoying the place, but I would say if you only have a few days in Marrakech do not use up precious itinerary time visiting this place.

This place was hard to find. We asked the locals and they contradicted each other but still expected a tip. Signs were non-existant. Nobody told us it was a really long way away on foot.

After firstly nearly having my bag snatched by 2 guys on a bike, we walked down hot, deserted streets for an eternity, we arrived at the entrance which looked like a bombed area in Lebanon - got to the famed lake ( read" dirty muddy water") with large horrible looking fish in it. Luckily we flagged down a cab on... More

I recently visited this site. It is a huge area, mainly consisting of olive and orange groves, none of which are accessible as the different sections are fenced off or walled. The only road in is a dusty track about half a mile long which has a few oleanders along it. These are the only flowers anywhere on the site.... More
