Jardin Majorelle
About
Nicely designed and maintained gardens, similar to those of Generalife in Granada, Spain. It’s a good place to recoup from the intensity of the market atmosphere.

We enjoyed our visit to the garden, so many beautiful plants and vibrant colours. We came during July which was the warmest time of the year in Marrakech, the heat was unbearable but we went to the restaurant for some ice cream to cool us down.

We visited with my daughter, wife, and in-laws. The gardens are nice and well-kept, and if it weren’t for the masses of people, could have a spot for relaxation and reflection. I don’t really know that to day - I’ve seen a lot of botanical gardens that have a wider variation of plants with a more natural feel. They also claim it accessible for handicapped, but not so much the Berber museum, where we couldn’t bring in our stroller. It’s a nice visit for sure, but I’m not really sure what the hype is all about.

As gardens go, these are well nice.
Mr YSL did a good job conserving the. It was 120 p/p for a ticket (€12 or £12 | this is Nov 2022), this was a fair enough price when you realise the money is going to local projects of a similar ilk.

You can walk the entire gardens in 30 minutes, a max of 1 hour would be enough that’s with taking loads of photos.
If you like doing Insta-style photos, this is a great place for it.

That colour blue is a very nice colour.

We didn’t buy the extra ticket for the mini museum within the gardens (The Berber Museum)

While Jardin Majorelle costs more than other sights in Marrakech, it is a decent getaway from the hustle of the Medina. The Pierre Bergé Berber Museum is worth the extra 30 Dirhams with their tasteful collection.

Not worth the long line. Bamboo Eastern garden not cactus garden. Small. I would skip it. My family didn’t like it either,

Don't simply see the gardens. Go to the YSL and Amizigh (Berber) museum. 2-3 hours total. Don't freak over the long line. It goes pretty fast. Totally worth it!

Just a small crowded park with too high price. There are some free, much bigger and more beautiful parks in Marrakesh. Yo can go through the full park in 10 minutes. 1 Eur per minut..

Buy your ticket online - and go before 9:45 - otherwise too crowded. We didn't go to the museum. The blues in the walls are so beautiful. Walk if you can - the taxis traffic is crazy

A great way to learn about the native plants while enjoying the colorful pots and areas for pictures.
