We have just returned from a wonderful family visit to Morocco. « Come to Sahara » set up a rich and rewarding itinerary for us which included guided tours of the old Medinas of Fès and Marrakech, New Years in the Sahara, and a stunning drive through the Moroccan countryside, past old villages, ancient ruins and amazing mountain views. We stayed in two architecturally striking and comfortable traditional riads as well as a local desert camp owned and run by a friendly family enterprise, featuring delicious authentic food. Imad, our local guide and driver looked after us well and took pride in explaining aspects of the Moroccan way of life and in attempting to answer our many questions about the country. Our three generation group was unanimous in recommending this tour for anyone interested in enjoying a unique experience in a very scenic setting.

Our trip to Morocco was unlike any other we've taken. And it was awesome. We followed the advice of Elaine and Imad and were rewarded for ceding all responsibility to two experts who know and love this magnificent country. Our route took us through unimaginably beautiful landscapes and treacherous terrain. Imad's confidence and skill driving through it all never wavered. We relied on his easy, artful competence as we relaxed, eyes wide open, mouths agape, lost in the magic of Morocco. Imad knew the animals, the trees, the fruits and the vegetables. He picked the freshest dates, figs, and pomegranates right from the trees. If we stopped at a fruit stand, Imad would find the choicest, negotiate a price, and wash it with our bottled water. He also knew the best places for rest stops! He looked after all our needs and desires! On one occasion, we had an issue with the riad that had been booked. We arrived there after a drive of many hours and were reluctant to bother Imad but in the end, decided we had to. Imad told us to go out for dinner and he would take care of it. Within an hour, he met us at the restaurant and led us to our new lodgings. He retrieved our luggage. Problem solved. No stress for us. Thank you, Imad. He arranged guides for the cities and for whatever attractions he thought would be enhanced by knowledgeable explanations. He made suggestions about where to eat, and about which markets were worthwhile. He introduced us to his music and in some places, his friends and family. He was personable and responsible, flexible and spontaneous, warm and charming - just the sort of guy you'd like to spend 11 days with! This was a journey we could not have made without the expertise of Elaine and Imad. We thank them and heartily recommend them.

We loved our visit to Morocco! We developed a custom tour with Elaine and the results where fantastic. As a big family, I thought that things might be a bit challenging along the way but, not the case. Whatever popped up was handled seamlessly, including last minute planning to buy Morocco soccer shirts and arrange a very public place so we could join the locals celebrating. Fun! Great little, cozy riads all the way. We could not have expected more!!

Our family trip to Morocco was arranged with Come to the Sahara and we had an amazing stay in this wonderful, interesting country. The logistics of meeting, transporting and guiding our group of 10 - 14 people were handled seamlessly by Imad and our driver Jamal. Imad was there for our every need and Jamal drove us with care and confidence. Our itinerary took us from the souks of Marrakech to the High Atlas mountains on to Ouarzazate, Touradannt and eventually to the beaches of Tagazahout. A day trip out of Marrakech to Essaouira was arranged quickly and the beaches and the city were a pleasant surprise. Imad worked hard to ensure that we saw and understood as much about the people and the country as possible and it was our pleasure to have met him, his lovely wife Selwa and his family. Airport pickups and departures (some really early morning) were potentially a real problem with so many people coming and going from so many different locations but all were handled efficiently by Imad. All in all, it was a trip of a lifetime and one our family will never forget thanks to the help from the Come to the Sahara team.
