Grand Cathedral not to be missed

The brilliant white Cathedral is an architectural wonder in Rabat. Entry is free and no one will ask you anything whilst inside.

Approx 1 klm from the old town, this is a really unexpected building. Inside there is an organ and if lucky you might listen to the choir!

The doors are usually closed and unable to get into the church. Save your time and see something else.

I love going to mass there on Sunday morning, it brings peace and joy as the choir is made of Africans and they sing beautifully

Attended Sunday mass here.. very beautiful church. It is in Muslim country so there were perhaps only 30-40 people in church mostly Africans.

It shows that it has been build on a budget. If you come from the western world don't waste your time visiting. In any case the two towers can be seen and that's enough for an eye sore.

The cathedral seems misplaced in this predominently Muslim country, but it sits there proudly in central Rabat, close to the Gare de Ville. It is easily accesible, either walking or by the trams that pass by. It was built in the 1930's by a French architect and remains unique in it design. Inside there is stained glass, statues, religious artifacts... More
