We liked this old town district but it''s not the most fascinating area to visit if you are visiting Rabat for touristic purposes.

That is not a typo, this is an area where you should take your time and just wander. You will really get a feel for the way of life in this city. There is a lot to see and enjoy.

The old part of Rabat looks gorgeous with many of those winding streets (sometimes it's hard not to lose the orientation)! However, it has so many street cats who unfortunately all do 'their business' on the pathaways. Quite helpful poeple though, always ready to help if you get lost.

Old towns give a sense of history and also the local culture so while the place is not the cleanest and not the most orderly and inviting, it is still worth wandering around to get a real feel for the place.

Just go and watch how the other half live. These people know how to make a living out of nothing. It is worth a sit and watch. Get a coffee, watch and enjoy. Spend a day, everything is so cheap. Even get a local guide. GREAT

A good safe place to have a look around. Hassle free which all helps when you are just trying to look.
