The grounds of the Royal Palace of Rabat are beautiful but you can only view the palace itself at a distance. But, in our travels through Morocco, it was the only royal palace we were even able to venture within the gates. Additionally from the vantage point, you can take pictures. At other palaces you cannot even take photos from... More

Royal Palace of Rabat is impressive from a distance. Unfortunately you can't get much closer. The architecture is stunning and stands out. Hint: expect limited access, good camera, try and get good views from a distance it's worth it !!

Nice grounds, but you can only view the palace at a distance which is somewhat disappointing. We did have a nice walk through the grounds to get to the palace.

Well if you are on a tour which takes you there, you may as well make the short walk across the formal Govt. square and gardens. Not much really to see and you are kept the other side of the road from the palace entrance. A bit of a non-event.

I basically got to tour the grounds but not the palace itself. Not sure if there is an actual tour of the palace.

I think it is not worth visiting it, unless you have a lot of free time in Rabat. The building is not open to the public and the terrace has nothing special. Plus there is passport control and this can take a while.

I went because we must see the Royal Palace but not v ery impressive. Anonymous buildings inside the walls where you have to leave your passport for security reason. You leave the car in a parkling and walk in the bis shatre in front of the palace, not able to get closer.

The architecture and design of this historic palace is a must see venue. Very royal in every way. Highly recommended.

The royal palace and the gardens is worth a visit. The beautifully manicured gardens is a sight in itself. Those wishing to visit the place should have proper identity documents with them.
