We observed many Wilderbeast and Zebra making the river crossing, it's not as wide as the Mara river, but still worth the experience

Unfortunately, the Grumeti River was very low and the wildebeest had already crossed it when we arrived. I guess it is all a matter of timing. We nevertheless enjoyed being amongst the herds of migrating wildebeest, despite the low water level.

We stayed right near the river. Lots of hippos and crocodiles. We also saw two different prides of lions, one up close and personal (they were just a couple of feet off the road) and the other was about 100 yards away. Lots of wildebeests,...More

Worth the detour as the great migration should pass there. We saw hippos and crocodiles, but were out of luck as no wildebeest decided to cross on that day. Our friends in another car saw then the other day, so timing and luck is key!

We were able to watch many animals make their way down to the river. It is interesting to see how they watch for predictors at the same time.

This doesn't look like a real question. It's an excuse for Kibo Trekking to put an advertisement up. When my family went on Safari in Tanzania, we went with Africa Dream Safari. They were fantastic and didn't have to resort... More
