The only way to feel the pure power of the Falls is to do this walk! The shear amount of water has to be seen and felt to be believed! Be warned you get very very wet! Worth the $30 entrance fee!

Impressive attraction site. You'll spot a baboon or two and even warthogs on your way to the falls. It was walking distance from where we stayed (Shoe String BackPackers) but can be difficult to find if you don't spot officer assigned to directing traffic there....More

Hi, we will be staying on the Zimbabwe side for two nights in April. Is it easy enough to explore the falls by yourself or is a tour recommended? We don't want to miss anything. How many hours does the average visit take? Thank you

Depending on which hotel you are in but we found it very easy to walk down and just follow the walk way around. You can spend as long as you feel you need - I think we spend about 2.5 hours then walked along the bridge... More

$30 USD for entry on the Zimbabwe side. Zaire is north of Zambia, which is the other country you are thinking of. I don't know the cost for that side. Likely similar.
