It is in the center of town. Not much happens in Gaborone on weekends so you must be bored to go and see this though it is nice

We're not from Botswana and I'd still give this 5 stars. Why? The guide on the premises was outstanding. He really took the time to walk us through Botswana's history and to explain the significance of the three Dikgosi. Without the guide, we wouldn't have learned as much at all. The monument is nice, and there are staff to tell you a lot of interesting things you probably didn't know. There's no shade, and the three chiefs all look a little like Stalin, which I chalk up to the fact that North Korea made them. Not great parking, and not a great location.

A very national and patriotic monument surrounded by the modern development of Gaborone. Worth a quick stop over to look around and to get a basic understanding of Botswana's heritage. The grounds are well kept and generally the park/square is in good condition.

It was great walking in here to get a quick snapshot of the Batswana people and their inspiring history. Gives a great context of the growing Gaborone city. It was good to also see school children and other people sitting under the trees in the precinct just going about their life.

This is an iconic place, quite historical. It is worth visiting to learn about Botswana's independence.

Botswana has a great history and we have been blessed to have lived in this beautiful country for 20 yrs as well as have most of our children born and grow up here. Beautifully done... More

Great site to have discussions about the history and the people of the country. It was down the street from our hotel, Masa Square.
